Dear Anabell,

My sweet, I wish that I could tell you just how amazing you are. I wish there was some way that I could describe to you how you make my heart race faster than a lightning bolt coming down at full force.  You’re a beautiful, amazing goddess like form. Your smile makes the sun when it’s shining seem dull. I just thought that I should let you know. I’ll see you in English.

No name, no sort of sign that says who is it, the only hint that could possibly tell me who this guy is, is the fact that he’s in my English class. I sighed, quickly and carefully folded the note, and turned to my friend Candy. “What do you think the note that I found in my locker this morning means, Candy?”

Candy clapped her mirror shut; she had been working on putting on the perfect amount of lip-gloss. I quickly rolled my eyes at her; even though she despises preppy people Candy never minds taking her time to put makeup on. Maybe she does it to shove that fact that she’s utterly beautiful in those preppy people’s faces… of course she doesn’t even know that she’s beautiful. “Well….” She clicked her tongue and clears her voice.

Oh gosh, here comes her preppy voice that she does. I roll my eyes, let the torture begin. Candy did a little shriek before continuing “It’s obvious that whoever wrote you this likes you… a lot. He’s just probably shy or something.  But, I think that you should reply to this note. You deserve to be happy, and there’s a big chance that if you actually talk to this guy and get to know him that you could be happy. I miss you being happy… I mean really happy.” Candy got right in my face as she said this, her forehead was pressing hard against mine and I could feel each breath that she took in.

Candy was right; I hadn’t been myself lately, too many problems going on for me to actually be myself. Well... At least be my true self without, something bad happening and destroying the reason of what had made me happy in the first place.

“H-how would I give it to my admirer if I don’t know who it is?” The words stuttered out my mouth, there had to be some way to give my secret admirer a reply, without having to find out who the note was from. Candy look at me like I had ask something with an obvious answer.

“Now that’s easy, English is your last class, right?” The bell for third period rung, so Candy and I quickly closed our lockers and began to walk towards Mr. Bower’s classroom, for Algebra 2.

“Yeah… that’s the class that I have with him, or so the note claims. For all I know it could be some prank admire note!” I move my arms around in a dramatic way, trying to make it appear like it was a big deal. Candy stared at me and started laughing,

“You’re so obnoxious at times you know that? Anyways… in your English class you could wait till the end of the class, and then right before you leave, put your reply on your desk. But, first make sure that Brionica, Mindy, and Delilah are out of sight. Knowing them, if they see a note on your desk they’ll go running to it.” As if they could somehow feel their names being called, Mindy, Brionica, and Delilah entered the hall.

Well, back then they were better known as the “queens of preppy, the girls who stole the spotlight (from anyone who would even dare to take it from them) or the best one of all, daddies little princess, who can’t shut their trap.”

Too bad they don’t have to live in the real world, not even for one minute, they get anything and everything they want. Now I’m not saying that I was jealous, because I wasn’t, I had everything I could ever ask for. God, Candy, and now apparently a secret admire to go along with it. I just thought and still do think, that it’s funny how the preppy girls don’t have too hard of a life, yet find it perfectly fine to make other people lives more horrific then they probably already are.

Candy let out a snicker as they passed by, and let out a mocking “Hi girls.” Before they could respond Candy and I, realizing that we were right in front of Mr. Bower’s classroom, quickly entered our Algebra 2 class.

“You ready for your English class, to reply back to your secret admirer? Do you even know what you’re going to say to him?” Candy asked, for some reason her eyes began to light up as she spoke of my secret admirer, it was the most girly I’ve ever seen her get.

“I…I haven’t really thought about it,” I say looking at my feet. Now that isn’t true, I’ve been thinking about it all day, but, I just can’t figure out a reply to the letter. Would I ask him why he likes me, what he looked like, if it was some joke? “Maybe, I’ll ask him some questions, like show him that I’m interested but, that I want to know more about him first. How does that sound?”

“That sounds….bland, but it should work for now, I guess. Well anyways good luck, the second you get home you have to tell me all about it! Well go on now to your sixth period, that way you can write your admirer the note and have it ready for him when you enter into seventh.” Candy gave me a light shove into my biology class, and was soon off speeding in the halls to get to her AP History.

Umm…Hello, my admirer, I’m not very good at this in case the “umm” in the sentence didn’t give it away. Anyways, I would ask who you are but, my best friend Candy said to just talk to you first, and then later on find out that you are. So, I’m going to ask you some questions about yourself. That way I can learn more about you and along with that if you want to know anything about me, I can tell you some stuff about me too. For starters what’s your favorite color? Why did you all of a sudden start liking me, when there are so many other girls…who are much prettier than me in our English class? Do we have the same lunch together, by any chance? And how come you’re being shy, about coming up to me and telling me that you like me? It’s not like I’m one of the preps, who turn people down in a second, without even getting to know them first.

       Sincerely,

The one whom you love…Anabell.

As I entered my English class with the note neatly folded I could feel myself begin to shake fiercely. I quickly sat down at my desk, and acted like I was focusing on what Mr.Garder was writing on the blackboard. That’s when the second letter appeared on my desk, it was folded like an airplane.

I see from the curious look in your eyes that you have received my note. So, now I will find a way to arrange us to pass notes to one another, without getting caught or without you finding out who I am.

Love…your secret Admirer

How is he able to tell that I’m curious just by looking into my eyes? Has he been studying my every move? Time to find out, I took a deep breath and when Mr.Garder turned to face the board I threw my note for him in the middle of the aisle. “Please no one look at the note other than him….” I mumbled to myself, as I began to write the essay that Mr.Garder had been lecturing the class about. I couldn’t believe how relaxed I was, I just kept writing away for the essay, completely oblivious to what was going around me.

“Psst…Ana there’s something on your desk for you.” A girl sitting beside me whispered, what was her name again? Aren’t I nice? Here she is doing me a favor and I can’t even remember her name!

“Thanks....” I quickly grab the note off my desk, making sure that no one else notices it.
