When Vanessa awoke, she went downstairs, and the car still wasn't in the driveway. She sprinted to his room, and he was nowhere to be seen in it. She looked all over the house, and came to the startling conclusion: he hadn't come home yet.
Something terrible must've happened. She notifies her grandmother. They immediately head to go search, but grandma shakes granddad. He wasn't waking up.
"IS HE OKAY?!", Vanessa shrieks.
"Oh, yeah, of course. He wouldn't wake up if you punched him in the face. He's the deepest sleeper in this family.", grandmother replies.
"Ok, let's go!", Vanessa urges.
They head out and into her grandparents' car, and pull off. Vanessa texts her dad to see if he is okay and also notified him that they were panicking and searching so if he was okay, hurry and text back.
Back at the house, granddad was awoken by heavy steps in the hallway. He laid silent and completely still in bed, frightened. He didn't know who it was, until Adam appeared in his doorway, looking tired, awfully sweaty, and out of breath. And he was still in his suit.
"Adam, what--the girls went out looking for you...where have you been? Are you okay?!", granddad exclaimed.
"I'm perfectly fine. The question is: will you be?", Adam replied.
Grandfather looked confused, then noticed a knife in Adam's hand.
"Adam...what are you doing? What has gotten into you?!", the grandad replied.
Adam began walking closer...and close...slowly...as granddad became more fearful.
"Adam, you stay away from me...STAY AWAY!!!!!!", he shrieked.
Adam lunged at him with the knife, right as the grandfather fell off of the bed and kicked Adam in the chest. Adam got on top of him and stabbed him 3 times in the shoulder. Blood splashed on the wall and bed. The grandfather elbowed him in the nose, and pushed him over.
He ran as fast as he could to the bathroom, but his brittle, aged bones didn't obtain much speed or energy. Adam caught up quickly halfway down the hall and stabbed him in the back. The grandfather yelled in pain and fell to his knees. Adam then tugged on his hair and slit his throat with a clean cut straight across.
