Adelaide types on her computer late at night in an apartment in London, working on her report on the Chambermaid Mental Hospital. She scoffed at the thought of it being a "Mental Hospital". To her, it deserved the word "Asylum". She felt it would suit the place better. She had dug into files about the mysterious hospital. It was built around 1856 in Winchester. Its methods and building are still open to this day. It was a rather large place and its old Victorian architecture still standing, but seemingly by a crumbly pillar.
She sighs and sits back in her computer chair, taking a small break from clicking her fingers all over her keyboard. She had been writing about a recent outbreak at the Mental Institute, a rampage from one of the patients living there. She shivered as she remembered the news speaking of how many of the staff and other patients in that hospital were brutally murdered and displayed almost eagerly around the place. Police and other law enforcement have not started an investigation to attempt to detain the killer, making Adelaide wonder.
'Is it really that much trouble trying to catch one lunatic?'
Adelaide was then shaken out of her thoughts as she hears her phone buzz intensely. She picked up her phone to see that her partner, Brax, had texted her. Confused as to why he was awake at 1 am, she looks at the text he left her."Brax: Hey. Do you want to go check out Chambermaid with me?"
"Me: Are you thick? We can't go in there! We don't have a warrant to do so! Plus, there is a madman inside there!"
"Brax: Oh come on, There are many madmen in there. I'm already outside. I got my camera and everything. They won't know if they won't even go a mere kilometer near the place. Plus, It's a good scoop for us. We are investigative journalists. Why not get a shot about why this all happened. Maybe it's the entire system's fault one of them had an insane meltdown. Get dressed. We're going."
Adelaide sighs as she decides not to argue with her friend. She goes to change out of her comfortable sweatshirts and t-shirt, putting on casual clothing and her blonde hair in a bun. She grabs her phone and sighs. "Looks like I'm going to Winchester." She says to herself, leaving the comfort of her own apartment to go outside in the cold.
