Caroline and Katherine were in Dr. Maxfield's office and I decided to stay in the car waiting for a text from them. They left about twenty minutes ago and I was getting impatient. Suddenly, my phone started ringing and I noticed Jeremy's name on the screen. I smiled and picked up my phone. "Hey handsome!"

"Hey beautiful!" I could tell he was smiling. "Sorry I didn't wake you up but I would hate myself if Silas hurt you."

"That's so unfair!" I heard Silas yell and I chuckled.

I sighed loudly. "How's it going over there?"

"Well, we're at a warehouse searching for the anchor but we don't know what it looks like and Silas is not cooperating." Jeremy answered, slightly annoyed.

There was a background noise and then I heard someone breathing. "Mia, I love talking to you but we're on a mission here and you're distracting my Hunter." Silas said. "Just know that I will bring him home safe and sound."

"Why are you keeping the Anchor in secret?" I raised an eyebrow. "Shouldn't my brother and my boyfriend know what it looks like? I mean, that could be helpful."

"They just need to find a big box!" Silas sighed in annoyance. "Is that concept that difficult to grasp?"

I heard another noise. "Get the hell away from the phone!" I heard Damon's voice. "Mia, we'll be home soon so don't worry about Jeremy. I'll make sure he's alright." My brother reassured me. "Love you!"

"Love you too, Damon." I said before hanging up the phone. Listening to Jer's voice calmed me down and I knew Damon would protect him no matter what. My big brother never disappoints.

It's been over an hour since Caroline and Katherine went inside Maxfield's office and I was getting worried. What if he did something to them? Or Katherine tricked Caroline? I had to get to the bottom of the situation.

When I reached Wes Maxfield's office, I heard Katherine talking. "So it's true! Years are catching up with me fast." She said.

I opened the door and their heads turned in my direction. "Mia!" Caroline said my name in shock. "I thought you were waiting in the car."

"Well, I got bored!" I stated while looking around the room. "Nice lab you have here, Dr. Frankenstein." I chuckled.

Dr. Maxfield looked at me. "Friend of yours?" He asked in genuine curiosity.

Katherine rolled her eyes. "That's Mia Salvatore. No one important, really." She pointed out.

"Salvatore..." The attractive older man said with a slight smirk on his face. "Are you...?"

"A vampire?" I interrupted him. "Absolutely. But I don't bite." I winked at him, teasing him. I had to be honest, I was expecting someone way older and odd.

Dr. Maxfield smiled while eyeing me as if I was some sort of freak. "Fascinating!"

Caroline cleared her throat and faced Maxfield. "So Katherine's dying? That's like, the best news ever!" She smirked, causing Katherine to roll her eyes.

"Well, I would need to do a full check-up but, yes, Katherine is dying of old age." He stated.

I grinned. "Does that mean we get to see her all wrinkly and with white hair?" I chuckled and Katherine glared at me. "That's even better than my wildest dreams. Granted, it would be more satisfying to kill her with my bare hands, but I'll settle for this."

"I'm not settling for anything!" Katherine yelled. "I refuse to die of old age like some kind of hag."

Caroline rolled her eyes. "You're already a hag, Katherine!"

Katherine stormed out of the office and headed towards the car. Caroline and I followed still amused by the news of her imminent death. Part of me was happy that she was dying, but another part was still processing the entire situation. Katherine Pierce was a big part of our lives and now she was leaving us. I'm conflicted!

When I arrived home, Elena was sitting on the couch writing on her journal. "Hey!" She greeted me with a huge smile.

I sat next to her and smiled at her. "Hey! I have something awesome to tell you." I chuckled and Elena leaned forward.

She wiggled her eyebrows and put her journal down. "What? You have my undivided attention."

"Dr. Maxfield told Katherine that she's dying of old age and that her eyes are catching up fast." I couldn't help but smile. "The bitch is finally gonna die!"

Elena gave a weird look and then smiled faintly. "I don't wish death to anyone but Katherine Pierce deserves it. She made our lives a living hell!"

I nodded and then heard the front door open. As soon as my eyes landed on Jeremy, I got up from the couch and ran to his arms. My boyfriend picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist while my arms were around his neck. "I missed you so much, Jer."

"I missed you too, Mia." Jeremy said softly and then put me down before giving me a gentle kiss. "We found the Anchor."

My face lit up and I smiled widely. "You found the Anchor?" I glanced at my brother and Silas and they both nodded.

Damon stepped closer to Elena and I could see a small smirk on his face. "Oh, we definitely found the Anchor and it's fascinating!"

"I know that face, D." I pointed to his stupid smug expression and eyed him carefully. "Whatever you're hiding, just spill it!" I ordered my older brother.

He grinned and took a step towards the entrance. "I'll show you. It's the best part of Show & Tell." Damon opened the front door and motioned for me and Elena to walk outside.

We reached his car and Damon followed us. "We already know what kind of car you drive." I rolled my eyes and placed my hands on my hips, annoyed with his suspenseful crap.

"Get ready for this!" Damon chuckled and opened the trunk of his car. "Mia, Elena, meet Crazy Pants." He smirked and my eyes opened wide. "Crazy Pants, meet Mia and Elena!"

"Holy..." I gasped in shock. Inside the trunk of my brother's car was a girl that looked terrified and was an exact copy of Elena. She was tied up and I could tell she was scared of us. If this is the Anchor, I'm gonna need an explanation.
