Mercy

Rick and everyone left for the Sanctuary this morning. Gabriel and Aaron and Eric are joining him tomorrow, after they make sure everything is okay here.

Carl and I sat on the roof of the gazebo and watched the stars. "Chloe" Carl said and I turned to him. "Hmm?" I asked and he lifted our intertwined hands to his mouth as he kissed it. Carl then turned to me, and still held my hand hostage, before reaching over and grabbing the other. "Chloe Greene." he started before starting again

"Chloe Chanel Greene. I love you so much. Ever since we were little eleven and twelve year olds. We talk about growing old together all the time. Getting married and starting a family. Me and you. We've always just been me and you. We are joined by the hip and will do  anything for each other. I don't care who your family is, because you're my family, and I'm yours. I guess i'm just rambling on to the fact that I want to spend the rest of my life with you Chloe." Carl said and I smiled "I wanna spend the rest of my life with you to" I said. It came out barely a whisper but somehow Carl heard and understood it.

From his pocket he pulled out a silver ring with one diamond in the shape of a heart in the middle. "Someone at the Hiltop gave it to me. Said that they didn't need it and I should give it to a pretty girl. Only girl I'd want to give it to is you." I started to get tears in my eyes, as I looked into his beautiful blue eye. Carl slid the ring on my finger and I wrapped my arms around his neck before kissing him. "Lets go talk to Gabriel" Carl said and I laughed and nodded.

We ran hand in hand to the church, and I shhed him, as we walked in calmly. "Gabriel!" I called out and Father Gabriel came from the back to us. "Chloe. Carl." Carl and I smiled at each other until Carl turned and looked at the empty church. "Can I help you guys with something?" Gabriel asked. "We want you to marry us" Carl and I both called out at the same time. "Secretly. My dad will freak out" Carl told him and I nodded in agreement. Gabriel then looked at us and nodded. "Alright." I smiled widely, as Gabriel then says "Go put on something nice and meet back here"

Carl and I then ran back to the house. We went inside laughing and lightly pushing each other. "What's so funny you two?" Aaron called out, and we froze but smiled. I forgot he was here watching Judith. "Just a joke. We're gonna go get some stuff around. Gabriel has this thing where he's throwing this big sleepover in the church. I'm teaching and Carl is helping" I said and Aaron nodded. "Well have fun you two" He said and we turned and went up the stairs. "That was a close one" I said and Carl laughed.

 We went to the closet and looked through the remaining clothes that was left for us. "Flannels?" I asked pulled out a white and black one. "Flannel" Carl said as he pulled one out as well. I softly closed the door and we changed. I pushed my jeans into my boots before tying them. I looked up as Carl handed me my Black and White flannel. "Thanks love" I said and slid it on. I then opened the door and went into our bathroom where I braided two medium braids from the side of my head back and secured then with a hair tie. Carl then tucked his head in "Ready?" I nodded and took his hand. "Wait" He said and went back in our room before coming back and put a gun in the waist of my jeans and winked at me.

We went downstairs and out of the house. We went back to the church and walked in to see Gabriel standing at an alter, and the pews empty. "We had nothing nice, so we matched instead" I called out and Gabriel just smiled.

Gabriel instructed us on where to stand, and Carl and I took our hands in each others. "Dearly Beloved, We're gathered today to celebrate the togetherness and holy matrimony of Chloe Chanel Greene and Carl Grimes. If anyone should not agree that these two should be married please speak now." Gabriel said and looked up. We squeezed each other hands as we just stared in each others eye(s). "Alright. Carl do you take Chloe to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Carl nodded "I do" I smiled wider, as Gabriel turned to me "Chloe, Do you take Carl to be your Lawfully wedded husband?" I nodded "I do."

 Gabriel then said "Carl repeat after me" Carl nodded, and waited for Gabriel to say it so he could repeat it "I, Carl Grimes, take you Chloe Chanel, to be my beautiful wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part." I couldn't stop smiling as Gabriel turned to me. "I,Chloe Chanel Greene, take you Carl Grimes, to be my handsome husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part."

Carl then gulped and said "She already has the ring" I nodded and Gabriel then smiled "Then by the power vested in me by the state of Georgia. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride" Carl and I then leaned in and kissed. We thanked Gabriel and he went back to his office while we sat in the pew. "I..." I spoke but Carl chuckled. "I know" I just turn to him and said "I am officially Chloe Grimes." Carl just laughed and scooped me up from the pew and stood up himself. He twirled us around and I laughed loudly.

"How about we go get some shooting in and then we go Officiate this marriage" Carl whispered in my ear and I nodded before saying "That's a great plan."

We went out to the shooting arena we set up. "Breathe love" I said placing a hand on his arm. Carl nodded and a silenced gunshot went off as he missed. Carl groaned but tried again hitting the can this time. "It just takes time love" I told him and he nodded. We were at the shooting range for a while before we went back to the house. It was the middle of the night so we snuck in. "Shhh" Carl shushed me as I tripped over one of Judith's toys and began laughing. 

We went upstairs to see everyone still sleeping. We went into our room and locked the door. We laid down on our blankets, and started to make out. Carl then kissed my cheek and jaw, before going lower. Carl then held a hand over my mouth before I could make a noise as he kissed my neck. He removed my hand as he came back towards my face, as I smirked. I leaned up and whispered in his ear "At least the bed won't squeak." Carl blushed but that didn't stop us.

The next morning everyone left that was supposed to today. Aaron took Judith to The Hiltop, so now it's only Carl and I to look out for Alexandria. 

Later that night Carl and I sat in our room tangled in each other. "You know.." I said trailing off, "If they get out and the plan doesn't work they're going to come for us all" I told him and he sighed running a hand through my hair, as my head rested on his chest. "Chloe Chanel Gre-Grimes" He said with a huge smile on his face, "We knew the possibilities and the what ifs, but my dad said he can handle it." I nodded and he leaned up kissing my head.
