I waited ‘til the bell rang and everyone was gone to go to classes. I leaned on one of the lockers and close my eyes for a few minutes to relieve the stress I just put myself in. When I opened my eyes, I was met by a pair of green orbs, the eyes of the one and only Blake. After a few minutes of just staring at each other, he pulled me into a hug that got me shocked at the sudden movement of affection. “I’m so sorry Rose. Please forgive me.” “Sorry won’t do it this time Blake. You’ve done too much damage. You were my best friend Blake! My freakin’ best friend and you left me for popularity.” I walked away before he could say anything, leaving him there standing with his jaw hanging open with pure shock shown on his face.
It really broke my heart to do that. I really wanted to forgive him but he’s done too much to forgive him just by saying sorry. He has to earn my trust again before I can forgive him. I too have the right to be bitter. Walking to class, I pondered on things I never really thought of putting my thoughts on. Other people judge other people by their appearance. How money can do a lot of things.
The day went by fast without any more encounters with Lacy and her minions. It seems that my change of appearance made a bit of commotion. Okay fine, a lot. I’m just too tired to care of what people think right now. School was over and I headed to the local studio I taught at.
When I arrived, I was immediately bombarded with hugs. “Ann!! We missed you! Where have you been these days, Annie?” “Hey kids! I missed you all too. Sorry, I’ve been busy for the past few days. But I’m here. So let’s start?” “YEAH!” They all screamed in unison. They pulled me to the main studio and saw Blake’s sister, Kai. “Um Hi Ann.” She said shyly. “Hi Kai. What’s up?” “You know I left Lacy and her minions right?” she asked lowly. “You did? That’s good.” “You know you’re such a great person and I’m sorry for what Lacy does to you. Being a daughter of a billionaire yet you still help the poor and teach other people.” She said proudly of me. “I’m not as great as you think I am. I always hide from who I really am.” “That’s just your defence mechanism. Can we Um.. be” “Spit it out Kai!” “Can we be friends?” “Of course we can Kai. Now let’s get to the routine of Apologize!” I shouted loudly. How ironic right? Our routine just happened to be the song Apologize. When we finished, we all headed home and I brought Kai with me. When we arrived at her house I told her not to tell Blake about his and we’ll talk on the phone.
I arrived home to see Macy, Link and Ryan’s cars outside. All of them perfectly flaunting the expensive cars. I parked the car my dad’s assistant brought for me and got in. I saw everyone huddled up at the couch talking. When they saw me enter, all of them got up and hugged me except for a very pretty girl feeling left out. I broke free from the hug and walked to the couch. “Hi! You must be Aly. I’m Ann. But people call me Annie.” “Hi Annie” she said still being shy. “Don’t be shy around me. You’re already like a sister to me. Just don’t go breaking my brother’s heart.” She smiled at that. “Alright, Save the chit chat for later and let’s eat mom’s food!” Link said and Ryan and dad agreed. Boys and their food.
We all ate up and chatted while we did. After eating, I offered to wash the dishes and eventually persuaded my mom to go to the den with everyone else.
