It had been about a week since I woke up in the hospital, and the doctors told me I was ready to be discharged. I was definitely not excited to meet Neji. I knew that the woman's death was my brother's doing, and that it wasn't my fault, but I still blamed myself, and I knew that others would too. It was inevitable, it was human nature, so I would deal with it, and I would try to prove to others that I wasn't like the members of my clan, that I wasn't a murderer.
I never wanted anyone to die, so I fought. The kid didn't do anything, the mission was to protect him, not kill him. They were supposed to protect him. So why? Why did they kill him?
"Hey!" A voice called from beside me. I looked towards the doorway, and saw a kid who was about my age, dressed in traditional looking white clothing, with long silky-looking hair, with a scowl that seemed to be permanently set onto his face. "Come on, we're leaving."
I bowed with respect.
"I assume that you're Hyuga-san?" I asked politely. "Thank you for accomodating me, it is highly appreciated."
The boy scowled.
"Your words mean nothing, Sato." He spoke venomously. "A filthy clan like yours doesn't deserve to be in this village."
I bowed once again."I understand." I said, and exited the room. Neji stood there for a second, slightly dumbstruck, but then the scowl returned to his face, and he led the way to his house in the Hyuga compound.
"I would like to apologize." I said once we entered. "One of my clan members killed yours. It is not my intention to harm you, or any other member of your family. So I apologize on behalf of my brother."
Neji glared at me."I said that your words mean nothing, filthy Sato!" He spat. "So shut the hell up!"
I nodded, and bowed once again.
"Your room is down the hall, don't bother me unless it's urgent." He snarled, and disappeared into what I could only assume to be his bedroom, slamming the door, and causing me to wince slightly. I walked down the hall, and spotted a doorway. Upon entering the room, I saw a double bed, pushed back against the window, an ancient looking dresser, and peeling white walls. I sighed, this was already better than in the Mist."Thank you, Hyuga-San." I whispered silently.
I flopped down onto the bed, and glanced outside. It was midday. If I sent a message to Mei-San, she should receive it by nightfall. I summoned a simple dove.
"How may I be of service, Akira-sama?" The white bird asked.
"Fumi-San, I would like for you to deliver a message to Mizukage-sama." I replied.
"Of course!" Fumi chirped happily. "Please, what is it you'd like to say?

I was on my way to Sato's room, to make sure he wasn't destroying anything, when I heard him performing hand seals. Thinking that he was going to attack, I pulled out a kunai, and silently listened.
"How may I be of service, Aikra-sama?" A summoning animal, I assumed. He didn't have any travel partners.
"Fumi-San, I need you to deliver a message to Mizukage-sama." He replied curtly, a small smile in his voice.
"Of course!" An overly perky voice said. "Please, what is it you'd like to say?"
This was going to be interesting, a rogue ninja of a murder clan communicating with a Kage. I was curious about what he would say."Tell her that I'm sorry for leaving." He said, which surprised me. "And tell her that it's not because I wasn't loyal to her, because I truly was. Tell her that I was afraid, and that I wasn't able to shut out my clan's wrongdoings for any longer. Tell her that I had to try to put a stop to it. Tell her that I felt unsafe, and had I not, I would've stayed with her because she was more of a mother to me than that retched woman could ever be. And tell her that I love her. Thank you Fumi-San."
I opened the door just as the summoning vanished. He jumped.
"My sensory skills must be a little off." He chuckled, and scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Is there something I can do for you, Hyuga-San?"
"Why were you communicating with the Mizukage?" I demanded, kunai still in hand. For a moment, I thought I saw hurt flash through his eyes, but it vanished as soon as it appeared.
"Because I felt the need to inform her why I left," he answered.
"Your family did that to you?" I asked, gesturing to the bandages around his arms.
"Family would be one way to put it," he replied. "But yes."
"And your brother killed my mother." I thought aloud, wincing at the memory.
Akira's eyes widened, and he threw himself onto the ground in front of me, bowing and apologizing."Please forgive me, Hyuga-San, please, I am so sorry that you had to be subjected to that." He said frantically. "Please, what can I do to repay the debt, I'll do anything for your forgiveness, please Hyuga-San!"
I sneered. This was a pleasant sight, a Sato, bowing at my feet."I know exactly how you can repay me." I said coldly. "Jump off the Hokage mountain, then you'll be considered forgiven."
I shoved him over, and left the room, satisfied with my actions. Of course, I wasn't serious, no one would be stupid enough to jump off the mountain, it's 700 metres tall, and it would kill you. I was just curious about his reaction. It wasn't until I heard muffled sniffles that I regretted my actions. I sighed, and returned to my room to get ready for some personal training.

"Jump off the Hokage mountain, then you'll be considered forgiven." He snarled, and kicked me over. His words cut deeper than any knife ever could. The door closed, and I stood up. I could already feel that the stitches opened, and when I looked down, there was blood staining my shirt. I didn't dare go out of the room, Neji wouldn't care, he'd probably laugh and tell me to get over it. The thought brought tears to my eyes, and I muffled a sob, afraid that he would hear me.
I took off my shirt, and ripped it, forming a new makeshift bandage. Blood still poured, slowly, but steadily out of my wound. I had no choice.
"Hyuga-San?" I asked, standing up, and reopening the door. He was probably in his bedroom. I slowly walked over to his door, applying heavy pressure to the wound, and knocked. "Hyuga-San?"
My voice came out quiet. I was afraid that he would do something.
The door was wrenched open, revealing a pissed looking Neji, wearing a competely different shirt than he had been five minutes ago.
"What do you want?!" He demanded.
I was panting slightly, my hand was still applying pressure, but my skin probably looked considerably pale. His eyes lowered to my hand, and his eyes widened slightly.
"Idiot." He muttered quietly. My eyes stung once again, but I remained stoic.
"I need to get back to the hospital," I said. "I won't ask you for anything else, but please."
He scowled, but his eyes scanned my bare torso once again. He grabbed my shoulder, and wrenched me inside, closing the door.
"Sit." He demanded, and pointed to his bed. I complied, and gingerly placed myself of the comfortable futon. Neji walked over the the wardrobe, and retrieved a gray bag from inside. He opened it, and pulled out a needle, thread, some disinfectant, and new bandages. He removed the cloth of my shirt, and the, now stained, bandages covering me. He applied copious amounts of alcohol, causing me to wince, and proceeded to restitch the wound. I resisted crying out, fearing it would make me seem weak, but the pain was intense, and I couldn't stop the few whimpers that escaped my throat. He finished, and rewrapped me in bandages.
"I apologize." He said.
What?!
