7 Years Later

Narrator's POV

Kim Dahyun, the 24-year old nurse at the "Home Sweet Home" nursing home, walked down the hall as she bowed back to every coworker who greeted her.

"Are you taking in tomorrow's shift too?" Approaching Dahyun, her close friend asked as they both walked into the cafeteria smiling at all the old people who smiled and waved at them.

Since Dahyun had started working for "Home Sweet Home" the patients seem to be in a better mood and always getting healthier and healthier

"Umhum..." Holding unto the stack of folders on her arms she hummed and nodded walking past the cafeteria all the way to the other side of the building where the nurse offices were located at

"I heard your brother is coming to visit, you don't want to take the day off so you can be with him. I'll cover for you if you want" Her partner asked as she walked behind DaHyun when she enter her office. DaHyun's office was so clean and neat with the sweetest scent that of course came from the lilacs on her desk, lilacs that her boyfriend, JungKook, brought her once when she was on her lunch break

"It's okay. Jae will stay for three days at the house so I can see him Friday" Placing the stack of folders on the table DaHyun sat on her comfy chair and remove her glasses as she open her drawer and pulled out a granola bar

"Is that the granola box that JungKook brought you on Monday?" Chuckling Dahyun's partner, Mina, commented as DaHyun open the granola bar as smiling she nodded

"Uh. He has being insisting that I am losing so much weight because I don't eat well, that is a lie" Flipping through the folders she took a bite

"Ani! DaHyun-ah you haven't being eating well. You take a ten minute break when you have a thirty minute break, in those resting twenty minutes you could go to the cafeteria or the restaurant across the street and get a good meal"

"Mina, I am eating well I promise" Not looking up at her Dahyun put her granola bar down and sink down on a folder as she moved her right hand on the air looking for a pen multitasking and reading the paper so deeply

"Aish..." Mina grabbed a blue pen out of Dahyun's mesh pencil cup of four-compartments, and put it on Dahyun's hand. Quickly DaHyun quickly held the pen and moved to write some notes on a patient's records

Mina stared at Dahyun as she read to herself the small tinted words of the paper as she frown and took notes once in a while with the blue pen. Mina then saw DaHyun's phone light up all the way from the desk where DaHyun kept her coffee maker, she turned to look at her and see if she had even noticed someone was calling her but nothing. Mina stood up and picked the cellphone from the table and saw JungKook's name on the screen

"DaHyun-ah, JungKook is calling. Maybe your brother will arrived today instead of tomorrow?" Mina said as she kept staring at the picture it had for JungKook's contact

"Uhu.. Tell him to let Jae in.." Standing up from her chair DaHyun put the pen down on the table and close the folder to quickly grab it and run out her office in a hurry

"Yah!" Calling for DaHyun Mina observe her leave. She sighed and looked at her desk and saw the granola bar unfinished and the pen rolling to fall into the carpet. She looked down at DaHyun's cellphone on her hands and a missed call from JungKook "When is she gonna realize she is missing her youth..." Speaking to herself Mina said and then looked at the office door
