CHAPTER 2
Later that night, they got ready to have their food. Tegan looked at the food and then at Jayden accusingly.
“So you did make macaroni after all,” Tegan said, raising her eyebrows.
“Yeah,” Jayden said, busy serving his famous macaroni. Famous for always being made with tomatoes and butter and other things the boys and the girl did not care about. If they were an actual family, Jayden would be the mom. But let him just be the big brother for now.
“You know what would go perfect with this food? Some nice drinks.” Will said in his flawless British accent.
“I was just gonna say that.” Tegan agreed.
“I think we just have soft drinks,” said Ace
“Who was asking for hard drinks?” Tegan questioned in a confused tone.
Ace and Will both gave her an obvious look 'we were'.
“So we need some cool drinks….I wonder who could do this little favor,” Ace’s gaze slowly reached Zade.
Zade who was the farthest from the fridge sighed.
“Okay I’ll get it,” Zade said.
“Thank you Zaddy boy!” Cheered Will.
He came back with two bottles.
“Hmm….there’s no ice…get some ice pretty pretty please,” Will begged.
Zade sighed for the second time and muttered, “Sure.”
He came back empty handed this time. “There’s no ice left.” He said in an even tone.
“Oh shucks we could really do with some ice.” Ace uttered.
“Oh God can you shut up for two minutes of your life?!” Zade said in a harsh tone. “You want some ice? Here take this—“
He touched the bottle of coca cola and it freezed. Hard as an iceberg.
They all stared at him. And nobody talked for what seemed like ages. They never used their strange powers. Never.
The realization hit Zade. And he sat back. His face still cool but a thousand emotions went through his face.
“I’m...I’m...sorry,” he muttered.
