"What? What do you mean this team is ineligible!" was the only cry that resonated through the hall at the Brazil VGC tournament. A shocked and surprised Giovanni Costa was puzzledly looking through his teamsheet.
Giovanni was one of the latest to join the VGC tournament in Brazil, and his fatal mistake could lead him into immediate disqualification. Sensing no choice, he crafted out the best team that he could within the 50 minutes that he had. Needless to say, he lost the tournament, losing out on top-cut by 6-3.
Disappointed at himself, the only thing he could do was to prepare for his next competition, the France VGC tournament.
Two days later, he found himself at a cafe, watching the finals of the competition, when one competitor, Sejun Park, caught his eye. Running a parachisu team was no easy feat, due to the extreme weakness against ground types. Nevertheless, he went against all the odds and won the tournament.
This proved as an inspiration to Giovanni Costa, playing with an unusual pokemon was something that caught his eye. Nevertheless, he was going to try, despite how difficult it will be. Seeing parachisu, an uncommon pokemon in the metagame, he was determined to make sure that he would also be like him. His dream of winning nationals propelled him to never give up until the last end, even if everything seemed impossible.
Soon, he realised a simple yet risky pokemon to meet his beautiful set-up, and to support his other offensive Pokemon, while benefiting them at the same time. Knowing that he would have to run a huge risk playing offensive while protecting the pokemon for it to pass all the stat boosts to its allies.
This pokemon would be none other than the elusive eevee, who was able to use its extreme evoboost in order for it to pass status boosts to its allies. Although this was feasible, it was risky at the same time.
"Playing with fire" the exact quote that would describe his attempt at playing with eevee.
Despite this risk, he had his mind set, he was going to run eevee. No one was going to stop him now, it was what he was just about to do.
It was a match made in heaven, they were fated to meet.
