Luna groaned as she resisted the urge to throw her phone across the room. Why she always set an alarm that was loud and annoying she will never know, but she knows it gets the job done. As she turned it off she sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. There was a knock on her door before it popped open slightly.
"Oh good, you're already up." Luke stood in her doorway as she crawled out of bed.
"Morning."
"Mum says we're going to have to walk today, she had to leave early."
"Okay, I'll be ready in a few minutes. Could you just grab some granola for me?"
"Yep, I'll meet you downstairs." Luke shut the door behind himself as she made her way to her closet. She pulled on her uniform and pulled her hair into a braid. Luke was waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs with her backpack in his hand.
"Let's hit the road." The two of them made their way out of the house quickly, locking the door behind them.
"How are you feeling today?" Luke glanced at her, but kept his strides short to match her pace.
"I'm okay, just hoping things are a little quieter today."
"Don't worry, they'll go back to normal soon."
"Have you checked on the cover yet today?"
"Not yet, I will after school. I mean, how many views could it have gotten over night?" Luna shrugged and they were quiet until the school came into view. Luna felt her body lean slightly more forward as she moved a little faster.
"Excited are we?" Luke stifled a laugh as he kept his footsteps slow. Luna slowed back down as she felt heat rise up the back of her neck. She knew she should probably treat this as any other day, but she felt lighter than she had in a long time. As soon as the two of them stepped foot on the grounds, Luna was blindsided. Long blonde hair was shoved into her face as she laughed.
"Good morning to you too, Rox. What's the big rush?" Luna intertwined her arm into her friend's as they began to move again.
"Oh you know, just trying to soak up as much Luna time as I can now that you and Mikey are together."
"Roxie, you know for a fact that I'm still going to spend time with you. Just because he and I are together doesn't mean you're getting rid of me that easy. It's just this time, he and I both get to annoy you." Luna stuck her tongue out at her friend, who rolled her eyes.
The three of them finally found the other three boys, and Luna was promptly deposited next to Michael. He wrapped her into a hug, and Luna had to hide her smile. She was happy. His hand moved to intertwine with hers as they all moved to go inside.
"Good morning." She looked up and him, flashing him a smile as she greeted him.
"Morning to you too." He smirked softly as they stopped at their lockers.
"Yes, good morning to the both of you!" Ashton and Calum chimed in as they wrapped their arms around Michael and Luna.
"Good morning, boys." Luna giggled softly. Michael huffed as he tried to find his way out of the mass of arms.
"C'mon guys. Let us go." The two boys released them before standing in front of them satisfied with themselves. Calum and Ashton kept innocent looks on their faces as Luna opened her locker.
"Alright you two, what's up? Why are you looking at us like that?"
"No reason." Ashton spoke quickly, but he had a poker face so Luna couldn't figure out what was up. Luna smirked as she finished grabbing what she needed.
