Psalms 91:9-12 NLT

9 If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, 10no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. 11 For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. 12 They will hold you up with their hands so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone.

Just picture this. Making God your top priority. Most people would say that he already is, but are you really bieng honest saying that? Do you devote every last bit of your day to doing something to benefit God? Not yourself, God?

To be straight up, I don't I'm guilty of being selfish and doing things to make myself look better in the eyes of this world. My ultimate goal is to go to heaven, like many of you, but do I portray that goal in everyday life?

I like to think I do, but then I catch myself going through my Twitter and I see tweets from one of my favorite accounts, but they arent the kind of things I should see as a Christian. I have to make the decision righ there of wether or not to keep following them or to unfollow them. most of the time, I keep following them in the hopes that they won't post something like that again, but no such luck. They do it again. That's when I know I need to cut that account off my Twitter.

God wants you to cut those ties as soon as you see they posted something wrong, don't you think? But, as mere humans, we don't do that. We just keep going and ignoring (and sometimes not ignoring) things that we want to just overlook like they hadn't been there- but they were there, we saw them. We act selfishly and do something to please ourselves and something that will displease God.

The thing is. When you finally do unfollow that sinful Twitter account, maybe you find a good Twitter run by  a Christian whose tweets are positive and encouraging and the kind of thing God would eant you to see. That didn't happen by chance you do you? God wants you to see theres better out there if you follow his guidance. He doesn't want to ban you from things of this world completely, in my opinion.

Maybe that Christian account you followed tweets a Bible verse you like. If you retweet that and someone else sees it maybe you'll start a chain reaction. Maybe you'll change someone's life forever with just that one verse. I know it could be a long shot, but it can happen. I know I've really gotten off the topic of  this verse but it's something I think many of you need ot hear because I  know for a fact some of y'all have a twitter cause you follow me! But still, I want you guys to be careful on Twitter. There are many things on there that you should avoid and so beware.

Back on topic now, if you make God the center of all those things you're doing, you wont have to worry about much. You just need to make him the center of it all and he'll keep you safe. Stop being a selfish human and do soemthing for the benefit of God. He does so much to help you, the least you can do is retweet that Bible verse, right?

According to verse 11, he send his angels to look out for you. Verse 12 says that they'll hold you up so you don't hurt yourself by stepping on a stone. Imagine that stone being a Lego if you find it more relatable. Something so insignifigant, but still so effective wehn it comes to exerting pain. Stepping on a stone, or Lego, is not fun. It hurts. God wants to save you from the pain, thats why he sent you those angels, the thing is, you just need to let the angels have their chance. God wants to look after you. Let him. Just give it all over to God, save yourself and avoid the pain. Just ask him to be there for you and he will be, even if you rejet him, he'll still be there watching and acting, you just might not recognize the action.

I'm going to leave you with this final thought. Give it over to God. Let him carry you through it. You need his support more tha anyone else's and his support is alwasy there. It comes with the whole unconditional love thing. Just let him here there for you, you'll need it eventually, everyone hits rock bottom at some point and it will be easier to get out of, if you just let those angles carry you back up out of it.
