I unlock the door I sit in the couch next to my mom. She turns around and her jaw drops to the floor. My dad stays still and stares blankly like if he's seen a ghost.
"WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!!" my mom screams and proceeds to gather me by the collar of shirt. "I-I shaved it...." I say while my voice trails off. She grabbed my backpack full of my school supplies and threw it at me. "GET OUT!" she yelled pointing at the door. I sprinted to my room and locked the door. I tossed out all of my useless school crap from my backpack and filled it with random clothes and managed to find a few dollars. My mom banged on the lock door and pulled on the door knob, trying to open the door.
I unlock the big window and crawl through it. I put my hood on my head and started sprinting as fast as my legs could go. I stumbled a few times but easily picked myself up. It started to rain, causing the gray gravel to turn slippery.
I ran to the other side of the neighborhood and there stood a corner store. I don't go there often... Or at all. A corner store is a corner store, it has no need to be fancy.
I hurry in and see a young man working at the counter. He has a black shirt with the minute stop logo on it (a tiger) and blue jeans but they seem a bit more faded than a usual pair of blue jeans. "Welcome to minute stop" He says looking bored out of his mind. He then went back to playing on his phone. He didn't seem to care much why I was sweating and crying. He was just there to do his job. I go to the back corner of the minute stop and sit down; my back against the freezer where energy drinks and cokes sit. I take out everything I managed to pack.
I gathered a wrinkled old black shirt with red stripes on it, blue jeans that were faded where the knees are located, a baseball cap, a few pairs of socks and underwear. I had a total of five dollars and sixty seven cents. I look in the front pocket of my backpack and I have a random dull pencil and a notebook that I would typically use for science. I packed everything again but neater and ran to the restroom to calm down a bit. Sweat rolled down my forehead and dripped onto the floor leaving small droplets scattered across the ground....
