Eggsy Unwin x Reader

You sat in the crowded coffee shop, typing away on your computer. You liked to come here to work when you had the chance, the coffee was good and you liked to people watch. You were on the ‘upper’ side of town so there were always these stuck up bougie people sitting around, you loved listening to the soccer moms gossip about each other and the men talk about their mistresses. It amused you, it wasn’t the style of living that you had grown up around so you felt like an outsider, watching from the other side of the glass but you liked it that way.

You were startled out of your thoughts and eavesdropping when you heard a familiar voice call your name. You furrowed your brow and glanced around the overpopulated room when you eyes landed on him. Eggsy, your old neighbor, you two had basically grown up together but you hadn’t seen him in years, not since you got out of your neighborhood.

Your mind started swirling with images of the last time you saw him as you smiled and waved. You were at a party, both of you very drunk, stumbling around an unfamiliar house when you ended up in a room. Rough kissing, and grinding, your tongue in his mouth, his lips on your throat that is until you were interrupted by a couple who was even more desperate and drunk than the two of you were as they basically fell on top of you, ripping you both from your trances, promptly ending any chance you had with each other that night.

“Bloody hell love, who would’ve thought I’d run into you!”

Eggsy exclaimed as he sat down in the chair across from you.

“It’s been a while hasn’t it.”

You laughed as you looked him over. He had changed a lot since the last you saw him, he looked, sophisticated. He looked good.

“What’re you doing on this side of town Eggsy?”

“I live up this way now! I got a house with my mum and sis.”

He smiled and nodded enthusiastically, clearly proud of himself and his accomplishments, as he should be.

“Guess you do to? Uni must’ve done you good and stuff.”

You laughed again and looked down at your lap, smoothing out your skirt, a blush creeping up on your face. You remembered how proud of you he was when you got accepted to uni, he was the only one who was excited for you. Everyone else thought it was a waste of time but not Eggsy, he had faith in you.

You and Eggsy sat there for a while, catching up. It was good to run into someone from your old neighborhood, it was comforting, like putting on an old sweater. You were even so invested in your conversation that you had put away your computer. You were telling him a story about a party you went to in college when you accidentally gestured a little too much, knocking your now cold coffee directly into Eggsy’s lap.

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry Eggsy!”

You exclaimed as you jumped up from the table, grabbing a handful of napkins, as you attempted to contain the spill.

“It’s alright love, really, don’t worry about it.”

He reassured you, grabbing your hands.

“No, it’s not alright, it’s going to ruin your pants. Look, my flat is just a block over, come with me, I can get you cleaned up there.”
