Okay, so some of you may or may not know the youtuber Stef Sanjati. When I was writing up Lillian as a character, I couldn't ever imagine exactly what I wanted to her look like until I stumbled across the pictures (above) of Stef Sanjati with her hair bleached blonde, and I felt like Lillian needed some sort of physical flaw that certian people would need to look past, and to question, just to give her a little more reality and depth and to connect with some of the readers who may have physical differences and to have them feel a little more connected and represented in my story. For those who don't know what Waardenburg Syndrome is, its a birth defect that mostly shows in your face. The bridge of the nose is flat and can make it hard to breathe, and the eyes are wide set. Most people with Waardenburg Syndrome are also born with blue eyes and they have a patch of white hair that grows right at the top of their forehead. It was brought to my attention that I didn't explain it well enough within the chapter, so here's just some more information on it! Have a wonderful day lovelies!!

"So there were others?" Steve asked, looking at the two of us. "Who were they?"

"The most elite death squad. The most kills in anyone in HYDRA history, bar me. But that was before their serum." I whispered, flashbacks starting to race through my head. This conversation had turned cold and dark after our laughs, racing right back to the subject of HYDRA.

"They all turn out like you two?" Sam asked.

I shook my head and looked over at James, a faraway look in his eyes. "Worse."

"The doctor," Steve cut in, "could he control them?"

"Enough." James stated simply, still staring ahead into nothingness.

"Said he wanted to see an empire fall." Steve commented, almost like he was pushing us to cough up information we didn't have.

"With these guys he could do it," James started, his eyes losing the faraway look and shooting to Steve. "They speak thirty languages, hide in plain sight. They infiltrate, assassinate, destabilize."

"They could take down a whole country in one night, and you'd never see it coming." I muttered.

Sam and Steve backed up a little, going into whispered conversation and most likely trying to formulate a plan of action.

"James?"

He moved his hand and look up mine, rubbing his metal thumb over the back of my hand. "Yeah, doll?"

"What happens to us after this?"

He sighed, and squeezed my hand gently. "After this?" He stayed silent for a few seconds. "Lillian Jacobs, after this, we kill HYDRA."

I simply nodded, agreeing with him. After this fiasco, HYDRA deserved to be brought down for the final time.

It was silent again for a while, both of us just content with holding hands and basking in the ambiance of the area. "Lil?" James queried, breaking the silence.

"Yeah?"

"Why do you have the white at the front of your hair?"

I chuckled, squeezing his hand gently. "You want the medical version or the short version?"

"Medical. I might not understand what it is, but I like hearing you talk."

I laughed at this, "alright, well I was born with Waardenburg syndrome."
