Jason's POV

Having to tell Cassie our baby is gone killed me inside. I couldn't face her I had to go get Chloe.

I'm to blame I know, all this wouldn't have happened if Roselle and I weren't in bed together.

I admit I was in the wrong, drunk or not I shouldn't have done what I did. How do I correct all this, can it even be corrected ?

So I'm outside having a smoke and Mrs Monroe's car pull up, she gets out and she walks to the entrance of the hospital.

I finish smoking and go in too. When I get to the waiting room Chloe is there "she's inside with Cass" Chloe says when she sees me

"Alright, how is she now?" I ask sitting down next to her

"She's better, that's what she told me"

"I really fucked up Chloe" I say checking messages on my phone, I haven't gone to work since Cass came here.

"I don't know what to say, Jason this whole thing with this other girl... I just don't know hey" she says biting on her nail

"I don't know if I can fix it or not, I wish..." I get cut off as Mrs Monroe comes out the room looking like she's going to murder me.

"You're Jason right" she says coming to a stand in front of me.

"Yes, mam" I say standing up

"Good, stay away from my daughter. I want you to leave her alone let her heal in peace, please" her blue eyes bore into mine

"I'm sorry mam but..." I try to make her understand but she starts again

"Stay away from Cassandra"

Mrs Monroe leaves me standing just like that.

I turn looking at Chloe, she mouths an 'I'm sorry'

"I'm gonna go check on her" I say as I move towards the door

"Okay, I'll wait here. Besides you're my ride" Chloe says as she sits down

"Yeah sure"

I go in the room, I mean why would Cassie's mom tell me to stay away from her daughter all of a sudden, after everything I've done for her and the last time they spoke she kicked her out.

"Hey, babe" I say as I kiss her on the forehead and take both her hands in mine.

"Jason, you need to stay away from me please." She says but she isn't looking at me

"So you asked your mom to tell me, why would you do that?" I ask grabbing her face in my hands

"Because its better that way, there's nothing..." She replies pulling her face away

"Babe listen I'm sorry okay, I'm sorry about everything our baby, Roselle and..." She cuts me off and says

"That's where you're wrong, why are you sorry Jason huh? You didn't push me down the stairs, you didn't kill my baby so why are you sorry?" She asks blinking away tears

"Baby I'm to blame and you know it, and please look at me, look we can get through this I promise I love you princess" I tell her

She doesn't reply so I continue

"What happened, what did your mom say to you?"

"Nothing, but I'm gonna say this again you need to stay away from me Jason."

"I can't do that. And I won't! Cause I know you don't mean it"

"Fine I'll stay away from you then, I won't be going back to the apartment I'm moving back home as I'm getting discharged tomorrow"

"Princess, why are you doing this?"

"Can you get Chloe for me please on your way out"

"What about us Cass?"

"There's nothing between us anymore Jason, the baby is gone"

"Cassie don't do this! What happened to me being your final destination, what happened to me being..."

"That died Jason along with my baby"

"Our baby Cassie, OUR. You keep saying my, My, My. What's gotten to you?"

"Nothing Jason I'm tired do you mind getting Chloe for me?"

"This is how you want to do it?"

"Yes, now please go"

"Cassie babe, don't do this. I'm begging you. I'm willing to change my old ways for you, I'll come stay with you at the apartment I'll quit every side job I do. I'll be focused babe on you, on us. You know princess I have enough money that can last us a very long time I can put you to college or university..." That's when she looked at me and said

"Jason, stop. I'm not asking you for any of those things but for you to stay away please. Now go Jason before I call for a nurse to kick you out" she says looking at the door behind me

"What?" I ask surprised, why would Cass do that to me

"Gooooooo, leave me aloneee." she yells so much I back out and leave.

I'm done too. She wants me to stay away that's exactly what I'm going to do.
