Not long after I had entered the tent a man and a girl come in, greet me and sit down at the other side of the tent. 'Hey, I'm Tiger Lily and this is my father the chief. He doesn't speak English so I'm here to help you out. What's your name?' The girl speaks 'I'm Jayden' I answer. 'So can you tell me where you're from, how you got here and basically what's going on?' She politely asks. 'Sure' I'm silent for a second before continuing 'I live in London in England, I was kidnapped by some boys and they needed my heart to kill Peter Pan. That's all I know really' I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to tell them everything. Maybe leave out the part where I have powers.
Tiger Lily speaks to the chief in their native language and he talks back in a deep voice. 'Why did they need your heart?' Tiger lily asks. 'I don't really know, sorry' I say trying to sound as believable as possible. 'It's okay, so now you're on the run?' She asks concerned 'Yeah, I managed to warn Pan before he crushed my heart, then he knocked everyone out and let me go' I say. For a few seconds it was quiet, then Tiger Lily speaks to the chief again. It takes a while before she turns to me again and says 'You can stay with us for as long as you want. Since Pan isn't the one after you, you won't be a danger to the village. Just know that you can trust us and you can tell us everything' she awaits my answer as if she knew I was still hiding something. I hesitated Well they're letting me stay here might as well tell everything. Besides lying now might get me in trouble later. 'Uh yeah there's one more thing... I think they needed my heart because of my powers, ever since I was born I've had heightened senses and the ability to heal myself and others. Sorry for not telling you immediately but I wasn't sure if I could trust you.' I'm waiting for them to get mad after Tiger Lily translates my message, but they both seem calm.
Tiger Lily stands up and signals me to follow her, I look at the chief once more and follow Lily outside. Lily starts showing me around the village and after a while I ask 'You're not mad I lied in the first place'? She laughs a little 'No of course not, we understand. You were taken to a strange island and almost killed, we get you didn't trust us right away. I'm glad you decided to tell us anyways'
After Lily showed me around we arrive at her tent 'you can stay with me for the time being, but if you decide to stay we'll make sure you get your own tent' she says while entering. I follow after her and am greeted by a small tent with some boxes and some animal fur on the ground. Lily walks to one of the boxes, pulls out some more animal hides and lays them down for me. 'one more thing, I want to give you some new clothes but I need your measurements' Lily says while grabbing some ropes. 'uh sure, thanks' I respond and let her measure me. 'okay got it, you can go ahead and lie down I'll go look for some clothes' she says sounding excited. She starts exiting the tent 'wait Lily, uh. Thank you... for everything. After these past few days it feels good to finally have someone be nice to me' I confess. 'aw' she smiles 'no problem' Lily responds and walks out.
I wrap myself in the hides and let sleep take over.
