Maybe it was fate

Solomon's soul, the unbreakable cycle of rebirth.

A lot of people were trying to break out of the endless cycle, being forced to fulfill their duties and are bond by the chains of fate.
Yet no one succeeded and the hope of breaking out and finally being free and able to create a future of their own washings faded ever so fast.

But then, you came.

A mere human who never knew what all the things happening around him meant and who blamed himself for his parents death even if a higher force was to blame for that. Someone so new to our world.

A realist who stopped believing in anything else than that what he can see and what is written in the science books he was reading all day.

A child who thought that if angels and God where real the humans wouldn't suffer so much so they obviously can't be real.

If they were his parents would still be alive, if they were they wouldn't let a small child lose his family. And if they were the world would be more magical and not divided into white and black.

So he grew up fast and decided to live in a world where he would only rely on himself so nobody could hurt him and if he stays realistic nobody could destroy his dreams.

But he gave up all of this.
He had to.
We forced him to give it up.
Our dreams and future we so unthoughtful put in his hands, the pressure we put him in, how we ripped that perfect world of his apart for our own desires, and still:
He saved us.
He opened his arms, his well build walls for us and allowed us to forget our past and see the future how we want it, a future only we could decide about.
He did that even though we destroyed all that for him, forced ourselves into his life, yet he accepted us.

Maybe it was fate.
Maybe it was fate that someone who lost his faith and family gave us, homeless demons who only bothered him, that what he lost.

Maybe it was fate that all this ended with you, that you showed us that we can end this.
You gave us a home and accepted us, you laughed and lived with us. You cared and suffered with us. So, even if it was only a short time, I was able to start again, to live like a normal human and have a family that I would never lose again, I would make sure of that.

And for this, I wanna say thank you!
Because you gave me, who destroyed his only home twice and was broken inside, a new home, a new chance, and fixed me. You broke my cycle of sorrow and showed me love in your own special way.

So, maybe it was fate that I fell in love with you.
