chapter 5

hayes' pov.

I can't believe what I just did. I kissed alison.

I looked at her but then looked down. why would I do that? i like Jordan! and it's not like ali liked me... she probably thinks im a freak now! dammit hayes!

"uh i-im sorry.." I said breaking the silence.

"no it's um, fine." she replied faintly.

"I didn't mea-" I started.

"no, hayes, it's fine. but it's late you should probably get going." she interrupted me while standing up.

I couldn't think of anything else to say so i stood up and walked to the door that she held open for me.

"bye." i said and exited.

I walked downstairs and as soon as I got down the steps I saw Jordan.

"hayes! there you are." she smiled and wrapped her arms around me. it took a lot but I smiled back at her. she pecked me on the lips a couple times.

"so hayes, I was thinking we could try this again, maybe?" she questioned.

I paused. I didn't really know what to say. I mean yeah i like jordan but I'm also really starting to like ali.

"hayes?" she asked again. I must have zoned out.

"oh uh yeah sure." I said and smiled.

"good," she replied followed by a kiss.

"Jo, I have to get home, okay?" I said.

"sure thing babe." she smiled and I walked to the door. I walked home quickly and went inside.

"hey honey, is the party over?" my mom asks.

"yeah." I say while trudging up the steps. i go in my room, take off my shirt, and plop down in bed.

i layed there for hours tossing and turning, I couldnt stop thinking about ali and how we kissed.

I pulled out my phone and went on twitter and tweeted;

"I can't get you off my mind."

seconds later I got a reply, from alison;

"@hayesgrier; I can't get you off my mind" neither can i."
