Chapter 7: Idea

OMG! This is a really quick update- the last I updated was only 2 days ago- that's cause of all you amazing people's votes!!

WARNING-Do not have your hopes up too high as you will be very disappointed! This chapter does not tell you about what Daniel does (from the previous chapter) but it goes back to Mr Harding who was in Chapter 2 (if you guyz even remember that far back).

 "Daniel isn't picking up," Mr Harding said to his wife, putting his expensive phone down after having called him around a dozen times.

"Ian, I don't think what you're doing is right at all, dear," she told him.

"Eleina, you're always saying that, please don't worry about what I'm doing," Ian replied insistently."But listen to me, Daniel isn't answering, I'm not quite sure what to do."

Eleina sighed."Really Ian. I think you're far too wrapped up in this horrid work of yours. And if something has happened to Daniel, you are the only one to blame. You sent him undercover to work for that man- Sam- and to do all your dirty work. Really, you are quite disgusting!"

"Come on Leina, you know I wouldn't dream of making anyone do my dirty work for me, Daniel was just eager to take on the task, and he is one of my strongest and most loyal men, so I sent him," Ian argued.

He paused to think, then continued."Would you be a darling and call my men here. Tell them it's urgent. I have a feeling something strange is going on with Daniel, the way he disconnected the call so suddenly."

Eleina nodded, got up and left the room.

Ian stayed sitting on his recliner, stroking his beard thoughtfully. He had sent the strongest of his men, Daniel, to lure the girl, Victoria to him, so she couldn't have escaped could she? Surely, Daniel wouldn't have let that happen!

Ian was completely absorbed in his thoughts and did not hear his wife and men enter the room.

"Ian?" Eleina called, shaking her husband's shoulder gently and bringing him back to reality.

"Ah, yes," Ian said, suddenly becoming aware of his surroundings.

He turned to his men."We have something extremely important to discuss."

He then said to his wife, "I think it's better you leave now, Leina."

Eleina nodded reluctantly and scurried out of the room.

"Listen carefully, all of you."

"Mrs Harding said this is something to do with Daniel. Is that right Sir?" one of Ian's men, Ron interrupted.

"That is quite right. Now, I will need someone to go and find out what is going on exactly, as I am quite sure something has gone wrong," Ian told them gravely, looking at his five men who were standing in a line opposite him.

"I will go Sir," another of Ian's men stepped forward and said readily.

"No John, but I appreciate your willingness. I can not risk sending any of you this time, as most of you have nearly been caught in the past."

Ian Harding stopped and thought for a moment.

"I need someone who-" he considered and then continued."Someone who doesn't look suspicious, like-"

"Me, father!" Alex cried in excitement as he burst in to the room.

Ian's face darkened.

"How dare you, Alex! How many times have I told you to never, under any circumstance listen outside doors, especially when I am talking to my men!"

Alex shrank back slightly and hung his head in shame."I am truly sorry, father. I just thought, maybe if I go, being a child no one will suspect anything!"

"Hmmm, interesting idea, but I don't think you're good enough for the job, how do I know you won't mess up? I need you to know that this isn't a game Alex."

Alex sighed, the disappointment clearly reflecting on his face. However, after a moment, his face lit up again.

"Father! I have a good friend James, who- well I told him about what we are doing and-"

"You what?" Ian demanded, his face turning a bright shade of red."You told another boy what we are up to!? You stupid careless creature!"

"N-no father, listen. He, urrrm- he was really interested in our- I mean your plan, and he is one of those boys who can charm any one, especially girls so-"

"Ahah! I have just had a great idea, though of course you all already know what a genius I am," Mr Harding boasted in glee, his pride and ego getting the better of him."We will use this young man that is Alex' friend as a child woudn't look so suspicious and I will see how useful he can be to us."

"Father, don't forget, that was my idea after all!"

"Nonsense, you will never reach the high state of your father's 'geniousity'!"

"That is not even a word, father," Alex replied sulkily.

"Do not lecture me about English grammar young man! Now tell me Alex what is the name of this friend of yours? You must tell me all there is to know about him."

Alex did not answer for he was annoyed with himself. By mentioning his friend, he would no longer get any attention, and his father would not need him any more.

But he was certainly not going to let that happen...

Yes, crap cliffhanger... I know! I am just so evvilllll.........

So, to make up for my evilness, my next chapter is going be wwaayyyy better and a lot more eventful and.... is going to go back to Daniel and Victoria! So you have something to look forward to!

But first I am going to set a high target before I update cause I want to leave you all hanging- yes I KNOW I'm evil, we already covered that!!! Mwahahahaahahahahaahahahaha
