Falling for the best friend. (on hold)

Chapter 5

I decided to go for a run after washing the dishes just to clear my head. I ran to the park and I sat down on one of the swings. Memories started to flood my mind. When Blake and I used to run around and he’d pick me up and put me over his shoulders and run around in circles just to piss me off. I honestly missed times.

My thought about the past were interrupted when I heard someone behind the slides talking to himself. I walked over to the slides quietly and listened. “Why did I have to be such an arrogant asshole and a jerk to her? She didn’t care about who I was as a show. Rich or not, she became my friend for who I really am! I freaking bullied her! But she never hated me. I’m gonna make it up to you Rose, I promise you that. Even if I have to leave popularity behind. I’ll do anything in my will just to have you back in my life.”

That shocked me. He really was sincere about being friends with me again. I just hope he’ll still want to be my friend when he finds out I’ve kept my identity as billionaire’s child. I slowly got up and jogged back home. I went home and went straight to my room to take a shower and change. I went back down again to big my goodbyes and goodnights and I went to bed. But before I could even close my eyes, my phone beeped from a text from Kai. We talked until we could and went to sleep.

I woke up to Party Rock Anthem blasting around the whole room. I got up and did my daily routine at a record time of 30 minutes.  Pretty fast for a girl right? Yeah well I wore shorts and a tank with my cardigan and chuck taylors. I got down to eat breakfast and got out to get my car when I saw Blake handsomely leaning on his black Range Rover. Wait what? What was he doing here? Snap at of it Annie!

Blake’s POV:

As I got ready for the day, I can’t seem to remove the stupid grin of my face. I was going to pick Rosie up for school to start my plan early and this was my first motive. I have had my share of regrets and I don’t want to have more and I can’t bear the fact that I can’t hug her like it used to be and I missed her as my best friend.

I got down and went to the kitchen only to see my mom and sister talking while my dad read the newspaper. “GOOD MORNING!” I greeted cheerfully while giving mom and Kai kisses on the cheeks and a pat on dad’s back. “What’s gotten into you, son?” Mom and Dad asked in unison which freaked me out. “YEAH! What’s got you giddy all of a sudden? Is it a girl???? Oh wait don’t tell me it’s Lacy?” Kai said. “Nope it’s not Lacy and I’m breaking up with her. It’s Rose! I’m getting her back! I’m earning her trust back. I just can’t go a day without her anymore. I missed her too much.” I said while etching the grin that was forming on my face. Mom and Kai cooed sweetly at me. “So son, you seem to like Annie.” Dad said suddenly. “As a best friend.” I said quite  frankly. “That I don’t believe. But I have to go.” We all said our goodbyes and dad kissed mom and hugged me and Kai. I ate my breakfast and left to go to Rose’s house and waited ‘til she got out. When I heard the door click, I saw a very beautiful girl standing there looking shocked. Wait what? What has gotten into me?

[A/N: You might be confused as to why Rose Ann has a lot of names. Well Blake calls her Rose or Rosie and other people call her Ann or Annie.]

Annie’s POV:

My jaw dropped open upon seeing my Greek god of an ex best friend. “Blake, what are you doing here?” “Um. You see, I wanted to bring you to school?” He half stated half questioned. He still gave me a choice and that was kind of him and he was nervous! “Are you serious?” I asked. “Yes I’m serious. So let’s go? I’m gonna try my hardest to earn you back Rose.” He asked me still unsure of my answer. Somehow when he said that, my heart fluttered. “Okay then.” I said in a small voice.

He walked up to me and got my bag and opened the car door so I could get in. Why the hell does he have to be such a sweet gentleman. “Rose? How are you?” He asked. “I’m fine you?” “Good I guess. Thank you for giving me another chance.” “Sure.” After that, he drove off in silence.
