Santa Monica, I'm finally free.
Don't get me wrong, I've never been caged by my parents, if anything it's the opposite. I grew up in Inglewood, L.A. I have 5 other siblings and we all lived in a small house. My mom has never really been around, she split every time she popped one of us out. My dad lived with us for a while, he's a drunk, he's here and there. If you want to find him, go to the bar, if he's not there, he's probably passed put in an alley.Lola, my older sister is the one that always took care of us. I love my family, but I have to get away from all this bullshit. I have to be my own person and let loose.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The first place I go to is the beach, how beautiful! Definitaly a change from my old, small ghetto neighborhood. I was hoping to find a roomate, here in Santa Monica. First, because I'm broke and second because I don't know a lot of people in this part of town and company would be nice, hopefully I don't room with some serial killing creep.
As I pass the one of the beach peer's boards, something caught my eye: "ROOMATE WANTED" was witten on a plain white paper. Information like the street adress and the number of a potential roomate were written down the paper. No name though, it kind of intrigiued me, but hey, I need a roomate and fast, or I'm sleeping outside tonight.
I called the number immidiately, after three tones I recognized a boy's raspy voice saying something that sounded like a hello.
- Um, hi? I just saw your poster on the peer. Looking for a roomate huh? I think I'm the right candidate! I said trying to sound somewhat polite.
- Uh yeah, yeah I am. I haven't gotten a call and I need help to pay the rent so you're hired! He laughed
- Cool when can I move in?
-Anytime you want princess. He said
Wow, did I really want to room with this cocky one? Whatever, I needed to find a place and he said I could come anytime
- Sounds good, I'll come a little later.
The adventure had only just started...
