Song: I Don't Wanna Live Forever (by: ZAYN, Taylor Swift)
{I just wanna keep calling your name until you come back home}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hermione's POVEverything has changed. I don't even recognize myself anymore. The war has changed all of us, especially Ron. Harry defeated Voldemort, but the damage he caused is beyond repair. Most of the Wizarding World is still grieving over lost ones. Most of the death eaters have been rounded up and sent to Azkaban, Lucius Malfoy being one of them. Thank goodness for that.
But tomorrow is going to be exciting. All seventh years are going back to Hogwarts to repeat their last year. Ginny will be in our year, which makes me really excited. We've become especially close because of my relationship with Ron. Harry will be joining us as well, and we're all dragging Ron. I'm not even sure he's aware. Ron's been getting drunk every night. I can't even handle him anymore, but I can't break up with him considering how much he needs me. I want him to come home and fix things.
He gets drunk but doesn't even return home. Half the time, I'm not sure where he is. Tonight, it was my turn to get drunk. To hell with Ron. I can't drink too much because of school tomorrow, but I need to get my mind off Ron. Desperately.
Third Person POV
Hermione finished collecting her thoughts. She decided to go to The Three Broomsticks and drink some Butterbeer, and if she was up to it, some Firewhiskey. She got up from her couch and started to get ready.
Hermione had changed very much since the war. She still was a bookworm, and loved school, but she had let loose a bit. All of her clothes and school supplies were packed since yesterday. She chose to wear a deep red dress, which was strapless but simple. It stopped right at her knees. Hermione had no intention of looking better than this, since she didn't want to accidentally go sleep with someone else. The war had changed her, and made her care more about her appearance. Hermione was very well known in the Wizarding World, and she would no doubt be in newspapers everywhere she went.
Harry would've been dead many times if it weren't for Hermione. So would Ron and many others. Hermione had a very gorgeous body, with her flat and toned stomach. The war did have some good outcomes. Her hair was tamed, and she put it into a gorgeous, delicate bun. Hermione was always gorgeous, so with even minimal makeup, she looked amazing. She ran out to grab some red high heels to finish off her look.
She scanned herself once more in the mirror. I look pretty good, she thought to herself. Just as Hermione was about to leave, someone apparated into her apartment.
"Mione?" a voice questioned.
"Who is it?" Hermione asked, ready with her wand in her hand.
"Oh it's me, Ginny!" Ginny's cheerful voice rang across the room.
"Gosh you scared me Gin!" Hermione sighed in relief and went to go embrace her friend.
"I HAVE HUGE NEWS! OMG OMGOMGOGMG YOU WON'T LIKE EVEN BELIEVE IT LIKE WHAT LIKE OMGOMGOGMGGJFJJFHDDHDGSGW!" Ginny squealed in delight. Half of the things she was saying was gibberish, and Hermione was very confused yet intrigued.
Then Ginny said the 3 words Hermione was dreading. "Where is Ron?" she asked curiously.
"I-I-I think he went somewhere for work I d-d-don't know," Hermione gasped. Ginny and Harry were unaware of Ron's drunk habits. She didn't want to embarrass him, so she had to cover for Ron.
"You know, he's barely around anymore...do you know where he goes? When he is here, he's not himself. I have no idea what's going on with him. My news can wait, I really want to tell Ron too," Ginny sighed, hiding a frown. "Wait a minute, why are you dressed like that?"
Hermione had forgotten what she was wearing as well. "Oh, well I was going to go get some Butterbeer and Firewhiskey."
"Count me in sister!" Ginny got up and shot Hermione a small smile. She needed a break too. Hermione was happy to have some company. In case she got too drunk, she'd have someone to lean on. However, it was probably going to end up being the opposite.
Ginny ran upstairs to Hermione's room. The girls were both the same size, so all of Hermione's clothes fit Ginny. Ginny came out almost 10 minutes later, looking gorgeous in a baby pink dress, that showed off her waist. It was floor length and definitely looked better on Ginny than Hermione.
"Wow Gin, you look so beautiful!" Hermione gasped in awe. She wished she could look as pretty as Ginny.
"Thanks Mione, but I'm wearing twice the amount of makeup you are," Ginny said with a wink. Now, they both looked ready.
"Let's go to the new bar that opened on Diagon Alley," Ginny suggested. "There are more choices and it's an actual bar, dance floor, hot guys and all."
Hermione laughed. She did like the sound of the that. "Okay but don't forget about Harry so quick!" she warned.
"And Ron!" Ginny screeched back.
The girls left Hermione's apartment in high spirits. The night was young, and so were they. They were sure as hell going to get drunk. It was their last chance before going to Hogwarts.
But neither of them knew about the drama that would unfold.
