-Prologue-

It was 10 minutes till 11 in the night. The sky was pitch black, and the moonlight was shimmering through the blinds in my room. I stayed up late, unable to sleep.

So many things were going through my mind. Lucas being one of them. We needed to talk. Talk over our future, things had changed.

'Hey, I'm coming over - Nicole xoxo' I texted him.

Sneaking my way down stairs with no lights was difficult but I made it out from the back porch to my car easily. When I entered into my yellow ford mustang I immediately saw a picture of her on the away view mirror. A small little baby girl, no more than 1 years old. She has honey brown eyes just like her father, but black hair like her mother.

I adjusted myself into the car driving slowly out the driveway so my parents wouldn't hear. I kept glancing back at my phone to see if he texted back but there was no reply. I arrived to the gate seeing him opening it for me to drive through.

Right now I was so nervous and terrified that my hands were sweating.

It would be an understatement if I said the amount of property he had wasn't big. Parking my car in one of the many parking space, I quickly got out and head toward the front door that was open for me.

The two story house was painted black blending perfectly in with the dark sky. Nothing changed in his house. Inside, the walls were light yellow, my favorite color. When you immediately step into the house you see a big flat screen tv placed on the wall in front of you. Opposite of the tv lays a long brown couch with two smaller brown couches angled diagonally next to it. In the middle of the couch and tv is a small round glass table that has magazine articles and newspapers on it.

" Nicole wake up ," Rose, Nicole's mother, screamed from the kitchen. She knew her mother would soon come to her room to wake her up fully but continued to rest trying to dream back to her nightmare.

The aroma of bacon and eggs filled the house. Making Nicole forget about sleeping and running towards the kitchen. The scent of her mom's breakfast would always make her wake up.

" Good morning Ma." Snatching a peice of bacon off her plate, Nicole kissed her mother on the cheek and ran back up to my room to get ready for school. Today was going to be the first day of 11th grade for Nicole. Finally, she could be able to see Clarissa, her best friend since 2nd grade.

Walking back stairs Nicole asked, " Ma can you take me to school ." Even though she had my own car she didn't want to get lost on the way there. After all this is a new school that she's attending.

While her mother got ready Nicole ate her breakfast wondering what sports she could try out for. Nicole enjoyed being active and loved playing sports. In 9th grade she was a soccer player. But, in tenth grade she was unable to play sports because she didn't meet the schools standards for her physicals.  Maybe she would do track this year and get a scholarship now that she's able to play again.

" Lets go Cole ," her mother shouted from the front door using Nicole's nickname. Nicole made an exit to the door and into the car knowing her mother would talk about college she brought her Ipod to tune her mother out. But once they pulled out into the road her mother started talking.

" Cole have though about college yet ," Rose stated diminishing the silence.

" No Ma ," Nicole hated when ever her mother started talking about college. She knew she should've looked at colleges over the summer, but was to lazy.

" You can always go to a community college here in Florida ,' Nicole knew her mother would say that and it would end up in a fight. Her mother was terrified of Nicole being far away from her. Before Nicole could reply back they were at her school.

" Bye Ma I'll let Clarissa drop me home, love you ," She said trying to leave the car as fast as possibly.

" Bye Honey ," her mother stated driving off.
