Promise me.. Ch 5

~Chapter 5~

The windows were rolled down, the music was booming, the skylight was opened, and I was with Elliot.

Today seemed perfect so far. Well excuse the part where I got lost in the crowd.

I turned my head watching Elliot drive down the road.

He was so amazing. His voice was deep but not very... It wasn't like a normal 16 year olds voice. But it wasn't different at the same time.. You know? It was just really cute. He had a broad upper body with a fit bottom half. He looked like a model.

I remember in middle school when all of our friends thought we were dating because of the way we acted towards one another. Still very often, do people think that... I'm not sure how he felt but I didn't care about it at that time.

I was brought out of my thoughts when we hit a small bump in the road. It sort of startled me, making Elliot laugh.

I chuckle turning my head to look out of the window. I saw another jeep behind us and looked to see who was inside. Not that I was like a stalker or anything but you know how you just.. I don't know you just kinda look to see who it is. It's normal aha.

It was just some random couple that took a turn onto another road. So they weren't going to the beach.

It was going to be a while until we got to the beach. Elliot was smiling while looking straight ahead.

I pressed down on my seat belts buckle so it crosses my chest and was no longer holding me in my seat. I stood up on my seat while Elliot drove.

"Noel what're you doing???" He asked looking up at me and the road.

"Aha calm down Elliot I won't get hurt!" I laugh.

I stick my upper body out of the skylight and the rest stays standing in the jeep. I spread my arms out wide, stretching all around me.

"Ahh..." I let out a breath of relief.

"I finally feel free..." I whisper to myself.

I can feel Elliot's hand on my leg making sure I don't fall, but soon let's go when he assures that I'm stable.

"WOO!!!" I shouted, making Elliot laugh

It was nice feeling the warm wind blowing on my face and through my hair. The sun was out and shinning brightly. There were no clouds in the sky and the call of birds was distant. Our music was blasting and no cars in sight.

~Elliot's P.O.V.~

I kept my hands on the wheel constantly making sure Noel was okay, but looking ahead of me at the road as well.

We were a fair distance from the beach but could barely, BARELY see the ocean. Soon Noel plopped herself back down in her seat and fastened her seat belt.

"It is so nice outside! I can't wait to get there! I hear the water is going to be great! The waves, the temperature of the water, the weather outside... Everything!! It's just going to be perfect Elliot!" She squealed

"Aha well I'm glad that you're excited cause I am too!" I smile

Her eyes are gorgeous and her smile is bright. She takes a sip of my Starbucks and gives me some of hers.

I looked straight ahead focusing on the road while she closed her eyes letting the beat of the music sink in. We were both zoned out until I felt her hand slip around my bicep.

I turned my head to look at her seeing that she was staring in the other direction. I got a tingling feeling inside my body... But I liked it..

So I smiled to myself. I couldn't wait until we got there. We would always have fun at the beach together.
