Chapter 17: Together Again

Bendy POV:

Sammy had been in there a long time I decided to go check to see if everything's okay even though he told me to stay here. I entered the room. As I entered I heard quiet sobbing. I realized it was Sammy. I was shocked I had never ever seen Sammy Lawrence cry before I actually thought he didn't even know how but here he was holding Kaitlyn's dead body tightly while sobbing uncontrollably. I just stood there watching I had no idea what to say or do.

"Sammy? What happened to her?" I asked cause it's all I could think of.

Sammy looked over at me "Alice poisoned her."

"She really meant a lot to you huh?"

"Of course she did. I loved her truly I've never cared about anyone else the way I cared about her. I promised to protect her I broke my promise."

"No you didn't Sammy it's not your fault she died. You did protect her and she did the same for you do you not remember when she risked her life for you? When she took that knife to her stomach for you I was shocked at how much she cared about you to do that. She loved you more than anything too."

Sammy turned away from me. I sat beside him and touched his shoulder "Hey you know I don't particularly like you but seeing you take care of that girl and love her the way you did was touching. Honestly. So tell me why was she so special?"

"Well she was simply the most kind-hearted person ever. She saw me for who I really am not as some ink monster. I can't live without her. I just can't."

Sammy POV
I don't know what I'm going to do without Kaitlyn. She meant everything to me and now she's gone forever and it's all my fault no matter what anyone else says. I should never have trusted Alice then maybe she'd still be alive.

"Listen this isn't you're fault. The day you found her lying on the floor here you could've just left her there to die but you didn't you took care of her and anytime she needed you you were always there for her you're not the one who killed Kaitlyn so it isn't you're fault" Bendy said.
"True. But I trusted Alice if I hadn't maybe Kaitlyn would still be alive." I said.
"Alice tricked you neither of you knew her real intentions"
Just then I swore I felt Kaitlyn move I looked down at her "Kaitlyn? Are you alive?"
That was when she opened her eyes and smiled that beautiful smile. I couldn't believe it she had been dead a few minutes ago.
"Kaitlyn! But....how are you alive?" I said.
"Let's just say next time I die I want you to come with me" she said smiling. We held each other close I honestly felt too afraid to let her go. I was just so happy to have her back.
