Some of the scenes in this book contain some of my personal experiences. I hope you relate and enjoy!

"I'll be in New York this week. You know the usual Kendall, the Tanglewood house is off limits until Brandon and I come back and no one is allowed to come over. Okay?" My mom reminded me as I ate my cereal.

"Yeah mom, like I'm gonna invite all my friends over and have a wild party with underage drinking." I said sarcastically.

"Can you try to be more... Um What's the word? Social this year? It's your senior year Kendall, make this one to remember. Ask Lacy for some advice."

That name, Lacy. Which is short for Leslie Bennett who is my so called, Best friend. We barely talk to each other, she notices me at school but chooses not to say "Hi". She's a total snob. I don't understand how anyone could like her.

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes, continuing to eat my fruity pebbles.

"I love you." She kissed my forehead, grabbing her keys and running out the door.

"You too." I yelled, hoping that she heard me.

I stared out the window, out to the Space Needle.

Senior year is here. Finally. Like mom said, make it one to remember. How?

After a few minutes of zoning out, I looked at the time, 7:45AM. Shit!

I placed my bowl into the sink and grabbed my bag, keys and a small bag of chips. I ran out the door, taking the elevator down to the lobby

When I got down, I waved as I ran pass the doorman, Keith and into the door to the parking garage.

I got into my car, zoomed out and into traffic.

Great. Just great, on the first day of school. Good first impression, Kendall.

20 minutes of sitting in traffic, I made it to school. I pulled the keys from the ignition, locked the door and stepped out.

I ran into the entrance and into the admin office.

"Morning Kendall, late again I see." Miss. Penelope, the office lady, smiled.

"Here is your schedule and a pass. Good thing you're one of the good ones." She smiled and passed the papers to me.

"Thanks Miss Penelope. You saved me." I was relieved.

"Good luck hun." She waved as I exited the office and to my class.

Just as I walked into class, the teacher was going over the ︎syllabus.

"Ah, a late comer. What's your name?" the teacher asked.

"Kendall Briggs." I answered as I passed him the tardy pass.

"I'm Mr. Quinn. And you can sit um next to that Jesse kid over there." He pointed at the black haired boy sitting next to the window in the 4th row.

Jesse was varsity basketball captain. He wasn't those asses who pushed others around. Jesse was quite nice, with his friends too. I've had a small crush on him for a while now. Nothing major.

I walked over and and slid into the seat, draping my bag over the back of my chair.

"Hi." Jesse whispered.

I looked over at him and waved. I averted my eyes to my schedule.
