Chapter Twenty-seven: Congratulations
“So when can we tell the boys again?” Lou asked tracing my stomach with the tip of his finger.
“At about 14 weeks.” I smiled. “If they don’t notice first.” I laughed.
“How far are you now?” He asked.
“Don’t you pay any attention? Four weeks!” I laughed stroking his hair, nothing could be more perfect then this.
“How are you feeling?” Lou asked kissing me on the cheek.
“Like crap.” I laughed, I feel like even the slightest off scented thing could make me feel like throwing up.
“Awhh, you hungry?” He asked offering his hand to help me up off the bed.
“Starving.” I smiled. “What have we got to eat?”
“Pasta?” He suggested. “I know it’s your favourite.”
“Yum! Creamy pasta with chicken?”
“Anything for my princess.” He smiled kissing me on the forehead. I started cutting up the French onions, bacon and chicken. Leaving him with the garlic, cheese and cream to start off the sauce. I chucked the chicken the saucepan to cook it before Lou added the cream sauce over the top. Adding in the French onions and bacon, Lou added the Oyster sauce. “Why do you put Oyster sauce in a pasta sauce?” Lou asked confused.
“It’s the secret ingredient of course!” I laughed stirring the sauce while Lou started on the pasta. “Can we invite Beth? We’ve cooked enough to feed an army.” I laughed looking at the massive amount of sauce we’d made.
“Yeah sure, I hope you don’t mind, I invited the boys and their girls.” Lou concentrated on stirring the pot. “You know, like a house warming type thing…”
“Of course not, you made this much on purpose didn’t you?” I winked kissing him on the cheek before going to call Beth.
“I heard about what happened with your dad! It’s all over the news! And apparently the chance of you two having kids is small.”
“Uh… Yeah hi Beth, nice hearing from you too.”
“I sent you texts, you just haven’t been checking your phone silly.”
“Oh, my bad, want to come over for dinner tonight? All the boys will be here.”
“Yes! Just let me get ready and I’ll be there in a tick!” – call ended.
“Someone was just a little too excited to come to the dinner.” I joked, hugging Lou from behind, resting my head on his back.
“Knock, knock.” I recognised Niall’s voice from the front door.
“Can you get that sweet heart?” Lou asked washing up the dishes quickly.
“Coming!”
“Sydney! You’re glowing!” Meg smiled, kissing me on the cheek walking past, and a big hug from Niall.
“She’s right you’re looking a lot better.” Niall smiled.
“How far along are you again Meg?” I asked when she sat down on the couch, exhausted. Hard to think that will be me soon.
“Uh, five months now.” She smiled rubbing her belly.
“You look amazing.” I smiled, going into the kitchen to check on Lou.
“All done, all we have to do is re-heat it when we want it.” Lou smiled, putting his arm around my waist, kissing me on the cheek.
“Niall!” Lou gave Niall a big hug before giving Meg a quick kiss on the cheek. She had her hair in a loose pony tail, and she had a nice dress on which she looks amazing in, I swear she would look beautiful rolling out of bed with a hang-over. Niall had his hair like usual, and a jumper and jeans; looking hot as always. I could hear a knock at the door.
