AUTUMN'S POV
See, my friends don't know that I'm the different one in our group.. Well I think they do know, it's just that I'm not really the person that I say I am. I would like to try to tell them who I really am, but I guess it's not the time yet.
No, I'm not a criminal. I'm just.. my friends don't know a lot about me so let's just keep it at that. My mom and dad, are popular in our town, and also in other towns. My brother, stepbrother and sister are famous too, even if my little sister is just 4 years old, she's considered as a model for baby clothes. And I.. well, here I am, in my little sister's room as she plays with her dolls.
"Autumn, help me up please?" she asked as she raised both of her arms up.
"You should have a smaller bed, Amelia," I said as I lifted her up the bed. She sat beside me and sighed.
"I know, mummy and daddy said this bed was your old bed, wight?" she asked me and I laughed.
"Yeah, it was. When I was your age too."
"Was it pink too?"
"Mhm. But now my bed's color-"
"Gween!" she smiled.
"That's right! You're doing good with your colors, huh?"
"Yup!" she smiled and lied beside me. "I take a nap," she said before closing her eyes. "You go now, bye bye."
"Okay," I laughed and kissed her forehead before leaving her room.
It's a Saturday today, and it's been three days after what happened at Lilith's house. I believe Daphne, of what she said about Doug. I've seen her a couple of times. She doesn't know that I was the one who lives in the big mansion at the end of our street. She doesn't even suspect a thing. I'm also sure that my other friends don't know where I live. All they know, is that I'm Autumn Hudson, a student in Frostwallow High School, the quiet one of the group.
They don't know where I live, they don't know what my parents do, what my situation is. I continue to be the mystery of our school. They can't force anything out of me, before they could even attempt to do so, I'd be gone in just a glimpse.
I was walking around the halls of our house, when I saw Cornelia, the head housekeeper in our house. She's already in her fifties, and I wouldn't be surprised if she gets to be the one who exploits our family secrets, since she's not just the head housekeeper, but also my mother's somehow assistant. She's been with my mother in business meetings, conferences, and recently she's been going to business trips with my mom.
"Well well well, fancy seeing you here Cornelia," I said and crossed my arms.
"It's nice seeing you too miss Autumn. How are we doing today?" she asked me.
"Meh, just the usual. There's an event later huh?"
"Yes, the annual Hudson ball would be held later. You wouldn't come?"
"Oh Cornelia, it's like you aren't aware of the family tradition," I shrugged.
"Family tradition?" she asked.
"You know. There's always a daughter or son to be hid within the family. We do have the Hudson name and blood, but you know, every generation should have a secret child. Not in the bad way, but the child that's like the secret weapon of the family, the spy, the observer. We don't get to be in events since it's a risk, we're only allowed to look from above like a spy of some sort," I explained to her and she nodded.
"Ahh yes, well with what the comics say, with great power comes great responsibility," she laughed "I'm not sure if that's correct, but you know what I mean," she said and unfolded the cloth that was in her hands.
