The nights are the worst. No sounds. Nothing to see, to feel. It's like you're floating, all alone. To sleep you have to paint the darkness white. Imagine your somewhere else; a field of daisies; the middle of the ocean. You have to paint the picture in your mind. Imagine the motions, the sounds, the smell, taste, sight. But eventually you wake up. Before you even know you're asleep, you are awake. And being awake isn't always better. Daytime comes with its own adversities. The monotonous scrubbing of dishes, the slow, steady sweeping of the floor. And the torture of the smell of food permeating the room, knowing you won't ever get too see it. But the worst part, is watching the person you love most walk by without even seeing you.
