Nick and Lisa stare at me confused about why I was leading them up to the attic. I pulled the string which flicked the light on. I turned on the fairy lights around the fort and the projector rolled.
"What is this place?" Nick asked. I turned around to them and smiled.
"This is the Lakeheart kids hideaway. Seen as your going to be one of us we wanted to welcome you the Lakeheart way," I explain. Lisa runs over to Norman beside the candy and begins stuffing her face.
Nick walks up to me, "I appreciate this Noah. It's weird gaining a whole new family." He leans into a hug which I soon accept. "Now what are we watching exactly?"
I pull away from the hug and walk to my blue beanbag in the centre of the room. Norman and Nate sit down in there seats and Nick and Lisa sit down in the brand new ones we made for them. "What genre do you guys want?"
"How about we watch The Goonies? My family use to watch it all the time," Nick explains. I nod my head and find it in the little DVD box beside my bean bag. I get the movie ready and everyone gets their snacks.
Nate throws popcorn at my head while I try to find my phone in the beanbag. I grabbed it from under my thigh and opened it up. I do what a basic me does and go to camera. I switch to selfie camera and pull it up. "Everyone in," I say. Everyone jumps out of their bean bags and huddles around me. I take five pictures before turning my phone off.
"Welcome to the family," I say smiling at Lisa and Nick beside me. The movie begins to play and I feel myself get swallowed by the beanbag. I was in such a comfortable position I could stay here all night.

My jeep parked up outside of Norman and Lisa's school. Norman insisted I pick them up today because he wanted to show me his crush. They walk out of school together every day and today Norman wanted to ask her the question. It was adorable seeing his little face when he sees her.
I look out my window as the bell rung for the end of school. The best sound in the world to kids in school. Norman walks out beside a girl with blonde hair. I believe her name was Harvey. He turned around to her and smiled. Guess this was the big moment for him.
Lisa opens the door to the backseats of my jeep and jumps in. "Afternoon Noah," She chirps. I keep my eyes locked on my brother.
"Afternoon Lisa," I say. I feel her head turn to where I was looking. She squealed.
"He has been wanting to do this since they met last year," She says. Norman leans into Harvey and kisses her on the cheek. She smiles and nods her head.
"I believe that is a yes," I say. I smile as Harvey grabs Norman's hand and holds it as they walk towards my car.
"Oi Lakeheart! You kissing Lewis's girl?" Someone says. A guy with curly brown hair and his little group walk up to Norman and Harvey. Harvey rolls her eyes.
"Leave him alone Kendall. Lewis doesn't own me," she says. I raise an eyebrow at this Kendall guy turns to Norman. Norman wasn't stable still and needed to walk on his crutches now and then so if someone hits him that will be pushing his recovery back down.
"Lakeheart can speak, can't he? Or did the crash ruin your ability to talk too?" Kendall snaps. Kendall's friends laugh. I place my hand on the door handle.
"Wait," Lisa says. I do as she says and waits. Kendall pushes Norman.
"Don't talk to me like that," Norman says.
"Or what?"
"Or my fist will be in your face," Norman snaps. I shake my head, Norman do not throw the first punch, please.
