The next day I walked into my first class which is with one of the most strict teachers at the school, Mr.Conway. He was deep into a lecture about the different historical people that helped mold today’s society.
Suddenly, Gabriel White, typical jock and obnoxious just like every one of his friends.
“Mr.White! You are interrupting my class, a class that started 20 minutes ago and one that YOU are supposed to be in!” Mr.Conway shouted at him. I could just barely see the vein popping out on his forehead.
“Sorry, but there was a very special young lady that needed my help.” Gabriel smirked as Mr.Conway’s face blazed red.
Mr.Conway slowly started to smile and started to stride toward his desk.
“Perhaps a little time in detention will teach you to respect other woman’s dignity.” Mr.Conway’s smile widened as Gabriel’s face turned sour. I couldn’t help but giggle at Gabriel’s face when he received his detention slip. Apparently Mr.Conway heard me.
“Ms.Garcia, am I amusing you?” He asked seriously.
“Er-uh no?” I stuttered.
“Maybe a few points off your current exam will teach you some respect.”
“What?! No! I didn’t-”
“Or maybe a good detention will silence your giggles.”
“No, but I-” I stuttered and the sound of a chair being pushed out cut me off. I turned around as Luke spoke.
“She didn’t do anything!” Luke said firmly.
“Oh! So now it’s 3 detentions. White, Smith, and Garcia, go to detention!” Mr.Conway said happily and handed me and Luke pink detention slips as we walked out the door.
There was an awkward silence as the 3 of us walked to detention.
“Thanks for defending me.” I whispered to Luke. I could hear Gabriel chuckle.
“Oh how cute!” I heard him say. Before I could say anything Luke opened the door and I saw Belle and Savannah yelling at each other.
I quickly took a seat all the way in the front.
“So. What are you beautiful women doing here?” Gabriel asked. I immediately heard Savannah giggle and I could almost imagine her twirling her wavy brown hair.
“Oh, Gab-” The rest of what Savannah said was cut off by the door busting open and the explosion that shook the room.
