"Matilda wake up!" I heard a familiar voice call my name and open up my bedroom door. My eyes fluttered open and I slowly sat myself up while rubbing my eyes, I placed my hands in my lap and I looked over to my bedroom door to see Ashley, she had her arms folded with one of her eyebrows raised. "Come on! Get up you have your interview this morning.....remember?" She says in a demanding way, she walked out of my room rolling her eyes and closing my door. I shook my head and smiled at her pettiness, I stood up and walked to my bathroom still half asleep, I splashed myself with the cold tap water and took a warm shower.
*15mins later*
I walk over to the edge of my bed and see my tight black zip up dress, I put it on with a little bit of a struggle, I then walked into my bathroom straightened my hair and put on my casual make-up, I looked at myself in the mirror fixing myself up, I grab my purse walked downstairs and towards the kitchen to see my two roommates shocked with their eyes glued to their phones, I walk over to them confused as to why they would be shocked. I reached the kitchen bench and put my hand on it trying to get both of their attention, I see them both look up at me with their jaws still slightly dropped, I look at them still confused as I ask "What's wrong? What happened?" Before they could speak they both looked at each other than back at me "There was a shooting down near Coachella earlier this morning" My jaw dropped and my heart sank when the words came out of Ashley's mouth "Have they found the culprit?" I asked curiously, Ashley shakes her head "sadly...no" I was still shocked at to what had happened "b-but where still going right?" I hear Veronica ask I look over at her slightly annoyed at her question to Ashley and I. There was a moment of silence until Ashley said "Wellllll we have already bought the tickets and they haven't said anything about canceling it" I fold my arms as they both look over at me confused I shook my head trying to give them a signal that it was NOT a good idea to still go I say "Look! We will discuss this later after my interview at the Mall okay??" I say raising my eyebrows, I grab my purse and black leather jacket.
They both wished me good luck as I walked out the door, I got into my car and drove towards the city as I listened to music.
