Fake Boyfriend

You are in hurry, forget to take the trash out your home, racing against the dustman who are soon will arrive to pick up the garbage. Running as fast as you can while carrying a big bag full of groceries. Just then you bump at someone, hard enough till you fall on the ground, and you lose your glasses. The fruits inside rolling out on the road.

"Oh I'm sorry, it's my fault" you asked for apology while grappling, looking for your glasses, and you find it.

"Ji-yeon? Park Ji-yeon?"

You strangely feel so familiar with the owner of the voice as if your nightmare is coming back and cruelly touching the old scar which was so hard for you to heal it.
You slowly look up and the pain is surely still bleeding, you squeeze your shirt.

He scoffs, "Oh....I never failed to recognize you" and scans his eyes to your top to toe, "you never changed, should I supposed to surprise then?"

You fall in silent, take you time to clear up your mind, to gain your strength back.

"Look at you. I never regret to leave you! Can you be a normal girl just for once? Do you even have boyfriend? Nah~ from the way you dress yourself, from the way you live your life after I'm gone? I doubt someone will love you for the way you are like I ever did, well let's count our memories as a mistake"

You get up.

And give your best glare at him, "what if I do have boyfriend?!"

"Oh wow now you dare to glare at me? Oh really?! Then prove it!"

"H-how?"

"Double date on Sunday at Lotte World, deal?"

"D-deal!" that word comes out without you even knowing.

"Okay, see you again.....freak. Let's go babe" he grabs his girlfriend's wrist.

"Bye Ji yeon-a~" she said half mocked at you.

"What a big-mouthed" she whispered to him, they giggled together.

You bowed your head off, condemning the stupidity you have done.

"what did I just get myself into?! Hey Ji yeon, is this life of yours not messy enough so you have to dare lying to them? Where will you find someone who want to willingly volunteer himself to be your boyfriend? What a stupid ugly freak!"

You collect the fruits and put them back into the bag, you let out a deep sigh and regret it.

"He just called me freak, he used to love....for whoever I am"

you let yourself get back into your old memories, the tears slowly come down, and that's when it hits you, hurriedly wiping the tears.
"I'll never waste my tears for that bastard anymore"

Ara, your best friend, shouted in anger,

"Shh Ara-ya, calm down please" you hissed at her because the people inside the café are starting to whisper in interest on both of you,
"I shouldn't tell you..."

"No! You have to tell me. What that son of a bitch said to you?"

You contemplate whether speak the truth or hide it, you bite your bottom lips.

"Jiyeon! Tell me!" she raised up her voice several pitches when you still refused to tell her.

"He said that.....he never regret to leave me." you stuttered, your face turned into gloomy. The pain is still lingering there.
