It had been a beautiful day in June. The sun seeped through the window slowly filling the room. A cool breeze pushed in the window of Matthew's office. He had to work for another hour and then he could finally spend some time with his wife. But he would never make it through that hour. As the time ran out his wife, Beth Mills, walks through the halls of the large house that her husband had brought her for vacations. The staff there was very nice and all she wanted now was some time with her husband. She had gotten a great idea to bring him a surprise lunch. Matthew had been working all morning and Beth believed a small break was necessary. She held a tray of his favorite food, spaghetti and meatballs with her secret recipe for the sauce. She stopped at the office door taking a deep breath a smile plastered on her face. Beth was hoping this would help make Matthew happier, he wasn't happy that he needed to work on his vacation. She turns the door knob pushing the door open as she looked at the food making sure it didn't slip off the small tray. "Honey, I brought some food for you." Beth exclaimed as she looked up from the tray "It's y-" She stopped mid word as the spaghetti toppled off the tray onto the ground. The bowl flips trapping the noodles under it but the red sauce seemed out from under the edges like the blood running out of her husband's chest. His skin now pale skin and his once white shirt full of holes and soaked in blood as his lifeless body sits on the chair as it slowly spins in circles from the wind blowing through the window. A high pitch scream rung out through the house as Beth broke down in tears.
On the other side of the house Brandy Helm is cleaning up spaghetti sauce from a pan that Beth had used while she was in the kitchen. His wife Alexa Helm stands next to him handing Perry and Mellissa Mills some fruit to calm their stomachs as they wait for their mother to get back with their father so they could eat. As she handed the children their peeled bananas a scream could be heard. Brandy stops moving his hand sitting under the hot water as it collects in the tall pan. Alexa stands up straight as the kids pay no attention to what they just heard.
"Brandy you heard that too?" Alexa questions as she turns toward her stunned husband. "Brandy." Alexa's voice more annoyed as she turned the water off making Brandy look at her.
"Yeah, but who screamed?" Brandy questions as he looks at Alexa and the kids confused. "It wasn't either of them." He looks at Alexa even more confused than his expression quickly became alarmed. "Beth."
"Watch the kids so I can go make sure she's alright. " Alexa proposes as she takes off out the kitchen door toward where the scream had come from.
"Do I really have a choice." Brandy utters as he has the kids sit on the tall stools as he continues to attempt to clean the pan. Alexa rushes through the halls to Matthew's office as she begins to hear cries. As Alexa turns to the hallway of Matthew's office she could see Beth on the ground leaning back against the wall next to the door as she cries. Helen, the maid, kneeling in front of Beth her arms wrapped around her trying to calm her. As Alexa gets closer to them her nose picked up the scent of blood making her gag slightly. Alexa plugs her nose as she knelt next to Beth.
"I already called the police. They're on their way here," Helen explains as she looks at Alexa.
"Why did you call the police..." She questions stopping mid sentence as she sees Matthew's dead body through the open door. Tears fill Alexa's eyes as she hugs her softly. Beth turns and hugs her back tightly. "I'm so sorry Beth."
Helen stands up and closes the door to Matthew's office as she explains herself "Hopefully that'll help with the smell." Alexa hears sirens making her stand up and pulling Beth up with her.
"Hun we need to go to the police and tell then where he is." Alexa explains as she looks at Helen. "They got here quick." she whispers to herself. Beth and Alexa get to the door and Beth was still bawling. Alexa opens the door and saw an officer standing there writing in a notepad. He looks up from the notepad as he continues to write something.
