Monika followed Yuri home, just like she had planned before.
"... are you still there?" Yuri whispered.
"Mhm. I'm here."
"Good... but I still don't have a plan.
"Well, I think I do."
"What do you mean?"
"You'll see."
Yuri didn't respond and just went to her room. Monika paused when she saw the collection of knives. Huh, she really DOES have a knife collection. I can't believe I'm thinking this, but they're actually really pretty.
They WERE pretty. Each knife had a different color blade, some with patterns carved into the surface. Monika couldn't help but run her nonexistent fingers over the edge of one of the blades.
"Okay, what's your plan?" Yuri suddenly asked, snapping Monika out of her daze.
"Oh! Uhh... give me a moment."
Monika then proceeded to mess around with the files for a little while. "There! Now just..."
She gave Yuri step by step instructions on how to access the files and what to do after doing so.
"What...is...?" Yuri whispered under her breath.
"Never mind what it is. Just do what I tell you!" Monika protested.
Yuri hesitantly nodded and resumed to follow through with Monika's instructions, until finally, Monika faintly appeared in front of her, making her squeak in surprise.
Hearing the squeak, Monika perked up. "Did it work? Can you hear me? Can you see me?"
"Y-yes... yes... a-and yes."
She cheered in victory before wrapping her arms around Yuri. "Thank you!"
Yuri squeaked and shivered again. "Y... you're welcome."
Monika realized and pulled away. "Sorry! Got excited. But really, thank you so much!"
Yuri nods with a small smile, feeling excitement bubble up inside herself too, but she ignores it... for now.
"Anyways... I gotta go. I'll see you!" Monika said, waving.
Yuri wordlessly waved back before Monika disappeared from sight.
