THE NEXT DAY...

I stand outside of the conference room since I've been told that we'll have a meeting for the carnival with the students council. It's still early I guess as I was the first to arrive here. As I was wander around, I heard footsteps.

'' You're early today, ''

I turn around to see Wenjun's holding a key. Must be the key to the conference room. I bow to him. '' Congratulations for being chosen as the president's assistant, '' He says again while unlocking the room. '' Well, I didn't expect this actually, '' I reply.

He smiles at me, '' I wanted you to assist me but I guess I was a bit late than Zhengting?'' He's done unlocking the room and he stares at me deeply before making his way into the room. I try to shrug it off and enter the room while waiting for the others.

A few moments later, the others start arriving and Zhengting is the latest to come. He seems to find someone and as soon as he saw me, he quickly sits right next to me. So, the meeting starts and most of the tasks are given equally to each students council along with their partners.

'' So Zhengting and Hani will work out on the water event on the third day of the carnival, is that okay with you both? '' Yanjun, the vice secretary points out our task.

'' Sure, '' Zhengting replies and since he said okay, I nod my head. Water event? Does that mean we're gonna have an event by the waterfall where I saw at the multimedia room? Wow, that sounds rather interesting.

The meeting finally comes to the end after lasted for two hours. Almost everyone left, leaving me and Zhengting in the room. '' Can you come by the waterfall this evening? '' He asks when I was about to leave.

I nod my head, '' Sure, ''

TIME SKIPS...

I was taking my nap when I suddenly heard my alarm. I look at it. 3.30 pm. '' Ughhh, '' I groan and silence the alarm.

30 minutes later...

'' Ringggggggggggggggg, ''

I fish out my alarm to see its 4.00 pm and once again I silence it.

30 minutes later...

'' Ringggggggggggggggggggggg, ''

I forcefully wake up from my bed. Shit! Can't I have a peaceful sleep??! I take my alarm and its already 4.30 pm. I close my eyes and lean by the wall. Wait! I take a look again. 4.31 pm.

'' Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! '' Im already 31 minutes late to meet Zhengting! I jump out of my bed and take a quick shower before wearing my sports attire in a rush. I grab my sneakers and quickly get out of my room.

Trust me, at this rate if I were to participate in a marathon, Im definitely gonna win! I speed towards the academic block and run to the back of the multimedia room.

'' Phewwwwww, '' I let out a deep breath as soon as I arrive by the waterfall just to see that no one's there. I look around to see just in case if Zhengting's still here. I sigh. He's not here. Well, what do I expect? Im 40 minutes late! Of course he won't wait anymore. Silly me, ughhh! I hit my head a few times!

'' Doesn't it hurt hitting your own head? ''

I almost jump out of surprise to see Zhengting appears out of nowhere. I take a deep breathe before replying, '' Im sorry Im late! ''

'' Correct your sentence, you're not late, you're so so much late! '' He says while smirk. '' I thought you're gone? '' I continue as I am walking closer to him. He's sitting on a rock in the middle of the small river. I pull my pants up so that it won't wet and walk carefully in the water but yeah its hard to walk in the water and I am almost a few steps closer when I slip and almost fell! '' Ahhhhh!''

At the thought of falling, I feel a pair of hands grab my waist and I was drawn closer to... Zhengting. I pull out my hands and hold onto his neck to gain my stability. Im breathing heavily as we're facing each other way too close.

'' I was about to leave when I saw a girl speeding in a sport attire with her wet hair, looking like an insane person who just lost her husband, '' He says. I turn my face away, chuckling. I look at him again, '' Rude! ''

He smiles sheepishly and I just realized we're still hugging each other. I clear my throat before trying to let go of the hug. To my surprise, Zhengting tighten the hug and puts a strand of my hair to the back of my ear. '' Be careful, '' He whispers before letting go of me.

After the breathtaking moment, we then discuss regarding on the water event for an hour. Im anticipating to help him with this carnival as his ideas sound excellent. Well, maybe because its the first time Im participating, so it does sound intriguing.

'' I think we should call it a day, its almost dark, '' Zhengting says. '' Yes, sure! '' I stand and wanted to leave when I see there's no sign that he'll leave. '' Are you not gonna leave? '' I ask.

'' I'll leave later, I told Yanchen, Ruibin, Yanjun and Zhangjing to play with me here now, ''

Speaking of the devils, Yanchen, Ruibin and Yanjun are walking towards us. '' Where's Zhangjing? '' Zhengting asks. '' That pig! All he knows is only eating! He forced Xuanyi, Wenjun and Mei Qi to accompany him to the Hai Di Lao! '' Yanchen complains as soon as he sits next to Zhengting.

'' Oh hi Hani? '' Yanjun reaches out his hand for a handshake. '' Hi! '' He takes my hand and kiss it! WTF Yanjun??! I pull back my hand just to see him smiling sheepishly with his deep dimples. Seriously who the hell is this flirt?

Zhengting looks taken aback. He pulls Yanjun's ears hard and exclaim, '' You gross! Don't do that ever again! '' Yanjun frowns, '' Ouchhhh, that hurts!! ''

Yanchen and Ruibin are laughing their ass off. I decide to leave before they'll become more insane.

'' Everyone, Zhengting is being jealous!! I was just testing you,man! HAHAHAHA! ''

'' Shut up Yanjun! ''

Little did I know, I was smiling all the way.
