Baby Duty

Nothing was happening

"I've been thinking id do something with me life" Niall said, I almost choked on my food at how random he brought it up.

"What?" Mia asked

"I don't know, I'm kinda sleepy. You guys watched the derby match last night"

"I don't watch derby"

"Well you should start!" All three of us turned our attention to Liam and Daisy walking up to our lunch table.

"Hello" Liam sat by Mia and Daisy sat by me.

"Why you guys late?" Niall asked

"We were um held up" Daisy blushed and I raised an eyebrow. I thought Mia told me, Liam wasn't interested in Daisy.

"Oh-kay" Niall looked at me.

"Sooo, I've been thinking and how about we re-do lunch this Saturday" Liam suggested

"Ha.... Funny. You're kidding right?" I laughed

"Yes! and we invite my best friend" Niall said

"Best friend? I thought I was your best friend" Liam pouted

"You still are, just Louis is too"

"Ohhh Louis!" Mia winked at me and I was done with all these winks and smirks she gave me every time his name was mentioned.

"Mia, can you come with me to the bathroom?" I stood up grabbing my bag. she stood up coming with me walking.

"What's up with you and Louis?" I said sitting at a bench near the bathrooms

"Me and Louis? More like what's up with you guys!"

"What?"

"Don't act clueless, you never told me how was the kiss"

"Kiss?" I choked on air.

"Yeah!"

"I'm sorry, Mia are you ok?" I felt her head

"Come on sky! First you tell me this romantic moment you and Louis have and than a couple days later you texted me you guys kissed. Actually it was on Friday"

"Well I don't remember texting you that. But why would I even kiss him in the first place?" the bell rang and I stood up

"Well you said he was different during that tickle fight and that you were kinda liking it" we began to walk to our class

"But then I realized he's still an arrogant jerk" I left our conversation at that.

Wednesday

I waited for Louis outside Mrs.Clarkson's class after school, hoping he would come and pick up Luke and then we would talk.... since we haven't for two days. It felt like an hour had passed and I thought he wasn't coming. I picked up Luke's car seat and walked away, maybe it'd catch him out front. I was making my way to the front of the school seeing him talking with his friends on the field.

Leave or go up to him.

My legs moved to his direction, it's just Rebecca, Jack and Chloe.

"Oh looks who it is" Rebecca announced the four of them watching me.

"Uh Louis, I'm giving you a ride remember?"

"Hoe" I heard one of them whisper

"I'll be right there"

"I've been waiting a long time now come on" I sighed

"He said he'd be right there, now leave" Jack told me, Chloe holding on to his arm.

"You don't command me"

"And you don't command my boyfriend"

"I don't even know why I try, my mom is probably already here, and I'm just trying to be nice but you always. Ugh never mind" I sighed turning around

"Chill, I'm coming" Louis put his hand on my shoulder.

"But baby! I want more time with you" Rebecca was touching every part of Louis face.

"Later yeah?"

"Okay baby" Rebecca looked at me then pulled Louis to her and both of them began making out. I saw Louis pull away but she pulled him back, I turned around and peeked just when Louis pulled away giving Rebecca a small smile and wiping saliva off his mouth. I wanted to throw up I grabbed Louis shirt and pulled him with me and Just as I suspected my mom was already here I handed Luke to Louis so he could sit him in the back.

"Sorry for taking long" I closed the door Louis getting in the back.

"It's fine, how was school"

"Boring"

"Tomorrow will be more cheerful" she smiled "what about you Louis how are you?"

"Oh I'm good"

"Nice to hear" my mom smiled, I looked out the window. "oh before I forget your father called"

"What did he say?" I sat up

"He's sorry for not coming last week, but for sure he is coming this week sometime during Friday?"

"This time for real?"

"Yes and he says he misses you"

I smiled but sighed "I hate how he calls when I'm at school, I want to talk to him"

"Well sweetie he's busy you know he misses and wants to hear your voice more than anything"

"Sometimes that's hard to believe" I mumbled, my mom closed the garage and I got out the car getting my bag and Luke heading inside.

"I'll make food in a bit" my mom assured. Louis and I walked up to my room.

"Did you hear that Luke my daddy's coming home" I picked up Luke and sat on my bed.

"He was sleeping but I heard" Louis said sitting by me but I didn't say anything playing with Luke. A little annoyed with Louis.

"I'm happy for you" he spoke again and I looked at him.

"Why?" I put Luke down

"Even though your dad is away he still loves you. Makes an effort you know?Doesn't just completely forget about you. I wish I had that, my dads a complete ass"

"Yeah but sometimes I feel like my dad likes work more than home. He's gone for so long and while he's gone I'm growing. Ethan's growing. Life's going on and he's missing it and I hate it because you need a father when your mother just doesn't get it, you know? And now my mothers got a new job or is going on interviews half the time I don't see her and it gets lonely when your brother spends his life on the streets with his stupid girlfriend. Makes me wish I could teleport my dad home" I sort of chuckled and cried at the same time. Not fully balling but the tears forming in my eyes.

"I'm sure you're not lonely. You have me" Louis smiled opening his arms, I laughed wiping my eyes for a clear vision and accepted his hug. I squeezed him tight mumbling 'thank you but you are still an ass' feeling the vibrations of his laughter. He didn't pull away from the hug and I didn't want to either so I just laid my head on his chest and he rested his arms on my back.

"Foods ready!" my room door was opened "oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to interrupt" my mom closed my door.

"uh" I stood up

"Uh" Louis tried to say something too. After a moment of thinking I walked over to open the door.

"Mom you weren't interrupting anything"

"Okay" she gave me that same look Mia had earlier and I felt like they were the same person for a second. I shook the weirdness off bringing Luke downstairs.

Hopefully everything is making sense... The next few chapters are my favorite :) but aww Louis!
