I had a bad feeling about everything that Jhin was saying. He said that he saved us from the fire and that some people were after us and he was here to protect us. Everyone else believed him, but something about him was so…secretive. It made me curious to find out what he was hiding, so I walked upstairs and into his room. Once he said he was gonna teach Luke and Gabriel how to fight in battle.

I pushed open the door to his office and saw stacks of paper on it. I closed the office door and went to sit down. I looked through the papers and found a number with a message. It read:

Call me when you have them

6574-2836

Have who? This doesn’t mean..us? Right? I looked through more of the paper when the phone rang. I jumped and dropped stacks of paper that I had in my hand and hid behind a bookshelf. The phone rang some more times and then the voicemail eventually played on the machine. A man with a husky voice began to speak.

“I got your message and keep them there until we are sure of what they can do. If that filthy descendant of Ginerva gets his hands on them then we’ll never be able to defeat them. Call me when you get this message and make sure to do nothing that will mislead them or keep them suspicious of you.”

My heart stopped. Capable of doing what? We were a couple of teenagers that went to high school together. I knew that Jhin was a liar! That meant that he wanted all of us and we were stuck in his house.

I came out from behind the bookshelf when I heard the door open. I tripped over some of the papers that fell on the floor and knocked books off the shelves. Some of them hit my head as I tried to crawl behind the bookshelf before Jhin saw me in his office.

Jhin entered his office and locked it as soon as I got behind the bookshelf. He took off his shirt and his tattoo was in full view. I started to read it and was surprised to see what it meant.

Five teens will save our world-I started to count it on my fingers and thought it could only be a coincedence that there were 5 of us here.

2 boys and 3 girls-I almost had a heart attack. This was no coincedence.

Soon mysteries will unfold

And frozen solid with the power of cold

Traitors will make you choose

Believe and you will lose

These five teens you will try to defeat

But remember the prophecy must be complete- The fire was no accident and that “rescue” was a set up. Jhin wasn’t here to save us, he was here to kill us. I let out a loud breath of air and quickly covered my mouth. I could hear Jhin’s footsteps coming closer to the bookshelf. I closed my eyes and opened them and saw Jhin looking down at me.
