We wandered the woods for a while before we stumbled upon a cabin. Luke turned to us, signaling that we stay put until he says that its safe to follow him. Gabriel objected and followed him anyway. Belle looked anxious and went to the cabin as well. I looked at Grace and I knew we were both thinking that we weren’t gonna stay here together so we walked to the cabin.
“Is anyone in there?” I asked. Luke turned and looked more annoyed than ever. He opened his mouth to yell at me and then realized everyone else had come too.
“Didn’t I say to stay over there?” Luke whispered.
“Who made you the leader?” Gabriel retorted. Luke sighed and then looked at us.
“Fine, go check the rooms.” Gabriel walked into the house first, confidently and went to the left where 3 doors were left open.
“Oh! I’ll go with you.” I said and then followed Gabriel. I opened the first door, thoughtlessly and screamed at the sight. I ran behind Gabriel as he turned to see what happened. Luke ran to the door and started laughing as he realized what had scared me.
“A raccoon?” He saw my expression and laughed even more. I could feel my cheeks heat up as Gabriel laughed as well. Luke picked up the raccoon and brought it outside.
“Ra-cc-oon.” I heard him laugh from the kitchen. I moved from behind Gabriel and went to the kitchen.
“No one’s here.” Grace said.
“Good, then we’ll stay here until we know its safe.” Luke announced once he calmed down.
Luke ordered all of us to go look for food, all we managed to find was the water from the faucet.
“Ugh! I’m tired of looking for food!” I shouted. Belle sat down in a chair across from me.
“Why? Afraid you’ll find another raccoon?”
“Haha, good joke, frostbite!” I smiled at her as she glared at me.
“Speaking of frostbite, mind explaining what happened?” Gabriel asked. I rolled my eyes as she began to explain what had happened in the room.
Gabriel opened his mouth to speak but Luke beat him to it.
“So, we need to find out what this prophecy is.”
“Um,” I looked to Grace who’s hand was raised.
“Yes-” Luke started.
“Grace.” Gabriel finished and pointed to her.
“Well, I have this book that my parent’s gave me and it says something about a prophecy.”
“Where is it?” Luke asked curiously. Grace then looked down uncomfortably.
“In my bookbag.” She said.
“Where’s your bookbag?” Belle asked worried.
“In Jhin’s house.”
“Well, thanks for the help Grace but I think we should go to bed for now.” Luke said and then walked into the room, followed by Gabriel calling after him.
I groaned as I realized that I now had to share a room with my least favorite people in the group. I walked into the room and jumped into the bed.
I tossed and turned in bed as I felt bugs coming in and out and my pillow felt as if there was a brick inside of it.
“I can’t deal with this” I shouted and jumped off the bed with the pillow still in my hand. Belle and Grace woke up looking at me as I continued my rant.
“This pillow feels like im sleeping on a rock!” I threw my pillow to the floor and something flew out of it and hit the door. “Great, more bugs.” I mumbled. Grace got up and approached it and picked it up.
“Its the prophecy.” Grace said. Belle got up and looked at her.
“You mean your book?” Belle asked.
“No, this book is different.”
“How?”
“Mine says my name, this one says Ginerva.”
