You'll Be Mine

Chapter Nine

"NO!" I scream as the bite of the belt hits my upper thigh "please!" I beg tears streaming down my face as I'm curled up on the cold stone floor

He brings the belt down on me again this time hitting me in my bare back

"You will never do that again!" He yells

"He was in danger!" I cry out

the belt comes down on me again even harder "You should have let him die!" he yells back

I feel the sting three more times before I hear him walk over and hang his belt up on the rack. I look up at him, the faceless man I've come to fear. The only thing I can see through the darkness is his ice blue eyes glowing, whom I now know he is my alpha. I hear his deep breaths smelling the sweat coming from him. I feel warm liquid oozing from where the belt cracked me. I reach down to my thigh wiping it with my finger and see the dark red liquid. I keep my cries hushed because it will only result in another punishment. To him it's a form of weakness.

"you disgust me how could anyone love you child? you're an abomination." he says in a cold distant voice

With that he turns and closes the door behind him leaving me in the dark. I sit up in the corner and pull my feet up to my chest and start rocking back and forth. Heidi will come and find me she'll let me out she always does. How long has it been a week? maybe two? my stomach growls I'm starving this is what I get for being an embarrassment to my family I deserve this. I deserve whatever the faceless man has planned for me.

"Harper" I hear a menacing low whisper in the dark

I jump I now know I'm not alone in here but Heidi will be here soon the darkness won't get me. I say over and over as I rock myself in the corner a shiver runs down my spine as my back is bare against the cold stone walls. I can feel the walls closing in on me ready to consume me and make me a part of them.

"Harper" the dark whispers again and I feel someone grab a hold of me

"No!" I scream "no no no no no!" I try fighting it

"Harper" it says louder this time it's a deep chilling voice that haunts me in my dreams every single night in this goddess forsaken dungeon

"No!" I squeal thrashing around trying to get away I need to find the light switch it hates light

"Harper!" I hear the voice more clearer now

it's Ace! he's come for me he's come to save me!

"please Ace don't let him get me!" I yell

"Harper!" he yells I feel strong arms wrapped around me "baby please wake up" he begs

My eyes pop open to the purple walls of my room the moonlight shining in. I look around until I'm face to face with a worried Ace sitting on his lap. I'm safe. I'm in my bedroom with Ace. I take a breath in and let it out wiping the sweat off of my forehead and the stray tears off of my cheeks. That nightmare was one of the worse ones I've had in a while, I frown.

"You were having a nightmare, Kitten, you okay?" he rubs my back

I nod not trusting my voice just yet as I'm still a little jumpy and shaky, the normal after effects.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

I shake my head "no" I breathe "I'm going to go use the bathroom I'll be right back." I push myself up off of him and walk across my room to my bathroom

I look up at my grandma's homemade wind chime looking at the Sun ornaments dangling from it as I pass by. That thing is supposed to be keeping my bad dreams away I scowl glaring at it closing the bathroom door behind me
