I looked out of the French styled window of my room in my home at the Hamptons. This was the day. Summer was finally coming to an end, leaving its marks on me as mere scars.

I felt a drop of water go down my face. Initiating in my eyes, travelling through my cheeks and finally disappearing in the labyrinth of the world.

It had been a good life. I had good parents a good home good friends good everything. But good is boring. And I am bored of being bored. I needed a change. I needed to explore this world. And that is why, I Scarlet Franklin am going to the Elsa Hope boarding school in Scamperville, Rhode Island.

I was crying not because I would miss this life but because finally what I wanted I would get. My parents were reluctant to send me to elsa hope for a multitude of reasons. They didn't want to be away from their daughter, and moreover they had heard some stories about this boarding school which in my opinion are all crap. I found about this school whilst exploring the library at our summer home which had been established by my great grandpa years back. I found out that many of my ancestors had gone to Elsa Hope. Nothing was descriptive enough but the unknowingness of the situation is what intrigued me the most. True that some of these members were never heard from again and there was kind of a common pattern but then it all can't be blamed on a plain boarding school.

As aforementioned, my parents loved me and after much pleading they had not much choice but to send me there.

"Scarlet dear, its time to leave let's go.” called out my mom.

I picked up my suitcases and my guitar and took one last look at my room. Yes I loved it and yes there would be times when I would miss it but it was time to say goodbye and I had an inner feeling that it was going to be a long time before I came back

I went down the stairs and saw that my 3-year-old poodle, Shirley was waiting for me with tears in her eyes and whines on her mouth

"Shir dear I’ll miss you. I wish I could take you but oh well. Take care and don't let Mr.goblus(my neighbor’s cat) eat all your food."

I kissed her forehead one last time and then stepped out of my house. Putting the bags in the trunk of the car, I looked at my house one last time and smiled which soon turned into a grin and I said to myself "Ms. Scarlet Franklin now the fun begins."
