The Secret Life of Chloe Lyons #WATTYS2015

Chloe's House - Living Room - Friday, August 26 - 6:30 A.M.

"This is crazy!" Allison exclaims. "Whatever is going on is going way too far."

She starts pacing around the living room.

After what happened to Meagan last night, everyone decided to spend the night at my house. Today is a non-student day at school, anyway.

I look over at Carter. He's sitting on the end chair, silent.

Joe coughs. "Maybe this is all just some silly joke that Meagan is doing."

I look at him. "A joke? This is murder, Joe!"

"I was just... trying to help." He says.

"Well your not." Carter snaps, jumping in.

I sigh. Meagan is dead. What did she know?

My mom runs into the living room.

"Turn on the news! Channel 4!" She yells.

Allison runs over and grabs the remote and turning it up.

We all lean in.

"This just ends. 14 year old Meagan Block has committed suicide." The television speaks.

I blink. Suicide?

"Reporting from her mother she came home from work and witnessed her daughter laying on her bed, asleep. She never woke up and this had been seen as suicidal action. Police are still working on this evidence. Coming live from Los Angles, this has been Wendy Randell, Channel 4 news."

Allison slowly clicks the T.V. off and looks down.

Everyone has gone quiet.

"I'm sorry for your lost, Carter." My mom says gently.

He looks down.

"I should... I should. I'm going to go upstairs." My mom says, before leaving.

"I think I know who killed my stepsister." Carter speaks.

We all look at him.

"Dude, you heard it yourself, it was a suicide." Joe says.

"I think my brother killed her." Carter says slowly.

We all look at him for a while and know what to do.

We are going to tell the police the truth.
