Vic's POV

It's the first day of senior year at Clairemont High today and I can tell you I'm not happy about it. It's not like I'm bullied or anything, I'm actually quite popular, which is the problem. I know what you're thinking. 'You're crazy. Being popular is the best. It's what everyone wants.' Well I promise you that's not the case with me at all. When you're gay and popular it's not a good thing. All I can hope for is that no one finds out about me because it won't go well with my group of homophobic friends.

My alarm started blaring. I groaned internally and threw it at a wall. "Why does today even have to exist?" I mumbled, then shoved my head into my pillow before sighing and getting up. I was just wearing boxers and had showered last night so I only had to get dressed. That was another thing about being popular. I have to dress 'proper' and not how I actually want. I ended up wearing black skinny jeans (I'll never wear the pants 'proper' people are meant to) and a blue button up shirt. I then brushed my hair because it's long, shoulder length. I sighed again and walked out of my room. I smiled and closed my eyes as I was greeted by the perfect smell of bacon. I walked out to the kitchen where my mum was cooking. "Mornin', Ma," I said dully with a sigh.

She rolled her eyes and plated up the bacon for me "Y'know, I'm sick of your attitude about school. You have friends, you're always getting invited to parties yet you act like this. I'm sorry, I just don't understand," she said, sighing then continuing, "Anyway, honey, I gotta go to work. Have a good day at school."

I mumbled back a 'whatever' then ate my bacon.

After breakfast I decided that I'd better leave for school so with another sigh I gathered my school bag and made my way to place I've become to hate so much. 'Yay another year of hiding who I really am,' I thought.

Maybe this year will be different.

When I finally got to school after about half an hour of walking, I walked into the office to get my time table. The front desk lady (who's name I didn't remember because she's evil) looked up at me and snapped, "Victor you should have been given your timetable at the end of last year, frankly it's annoying that you come here every year for one."

I just rolled my eyes and waited for her to print out the time table. After she printed it out, I went to walk up to home group when Principal Allister's voice stopped me. "Vic, I'm glab you're here, you can do me a little favour and show Kellin to all of his classes for me as he's new."

I turned and looked at this Kellin kid, he was unbelievably attractive with his shoulder length black hair with blonde highlights. His face was so feminine and so was his voice I found out when he spoke - "Sir I can find my own way around."

"Nonsense. Vic here will! Don't argue with me, Kellin. I want to make you welcome at this school after the incident at your old one," Principle Allister ordered.

Kellin rolled his eyes and finally looked at me smiling his cute smile. "Oh, uh, my names Vic. Show me your timetable and I'll help you find your first class," I finally spoke when I snapped out of the trance I had been in.

Kellin showed me his timetable and I smiled "You're in a lot of my classes except for Maths and English. The school has some swap over thing with those, so while you're in Maths I'm in English and while I'm in Maths you're in English" I said with a chuckle while walking up the stairs, Kellin following close behind.

"That's weird, I guess," Kellin said smiling up at me.

I smiled back then turned down the home group corridors. I decided to make some conversion with Kellin to get to know him a bit. "So, Kellin... Why did you decide to move to the oh so great Clairemont High?" I asked sarcasticly.

Kellin stopped walking and a look of hurt and betrayal crossed his face. "I, oh, um, something happened," he said quietly, then started walking with me again.

"Uh, sorry?" I said, confused, but decided to put it behind me. "So this is our homeroom. You're welcome to sit with me if you'd like?"

Kellin smiled. "Thanks," he said, and sat with me at the back with the rest of my group.

"Oli, Jack, Alex, Rian and Zack, this is Kellin. He's chill so he's with us. Kellin this is Oli, Jack, Alex and Zach. Stick with us and your time at this school will be fine," I said pointing to each of them in turn. Each of them said hi to Kellin. Kellin was fitting right into this group. He was a lot like us 'cool kids' except he wasn't mean to anyone.

The rest of the day was pretty much the usual, the guys bullying everyone (especially gays) while I just watched but at least this time I had someone else how seemed to hate it just as much as me. Here I am now thinking about Kellin and how cute he is. I should be sleeping but I can't seem to get him off my mind.

I think it's safe to say I have a crush on the new kid Kellin.
