I'm walking in the hall at school with my books pulled against my chest with both arms. everyone is quiet and staring at me. Whispering things about me, I can hear them, they just don't realise. i have really good hearing I can hear what they are saying. things like 'what a freak', 'how does she have the nerve to show up at school, let alone live', and also ' she thinks she's cool with her ugly bright died purple hair, how fake is she', 'what an emo, look at her makeup'. Everyday. Everyday the same thing. I just ignore them and continue down the hall. I get to my locker and put my books away. I have to go check the notice bored for my music lesson today. I go check the music lesson timetable and notice a poster for the year 12 formal. great another school event everyone is gonna be talking about and I'm gonna be made fun of because I'm a loner and wont have a date. I'll just stay at home... like usual. if Nate wasn't making history with his great acting right now, he would go with me. Like seriously he studied acting at uni in america for 6 months and got offered a major movie role, now he soon when the movie is released he will be next the teenage heart throb of the acting industry. I'm am so, so, so proud of him. He is doing something he loves but I just miss him. I miss the one person that truly cared. I miss the one person that stood up for me. I miss the one person that was there for me, I miss the one person that saved my life, and mostly I miss my one and only best estest friend. I miss my littles skittle. he is doing things that is important while I'm stuck here at school getting bullied everyday and missing my skittle. I'm doing nothing important with my life. I just sigh and walk to my first class. Maths, YAY! note the sarcasm.

I'm putting all my books from my last classes back in my locker. I hear people gasp in the hall way. I just shrug it off. probably just the school slut wearing lingerie for clothing. I laughed at the thought. I would be surprised too, that girl has gone through all the guys in our school like 10 times. its amazing how many guys she can bang. Someone taps me on the shoulder. I ignore it and keep my head down. It will be just someone wanting to bully me or beat me up so I have learned the hard way to not turn around. Then they ask

"um excuse me do you know where Michelle Rivers is?"

I lifted my head when my name was said.

"why do you want to know where she is??' I asked in a harsh tone

"I wanted to surprise her. she is one of my close friends and I haven't seen her in awhile" he said to me. my back still facing him. close friend?? haven't seen her in a while?? that voice I know it?? The gasps in the hall. it all makes sense it might be Nate. I cant believe he doesn't recognise me. Wait my hair, he hasn't seen my face yet. I turn around slowly my head still down so he cant see my face

"Nate??" I question while lifting my face to see his face and so he could see mine. I smile spreads across my face. its him my best estest friend in the world is standing in front of me.

"Skittles!!" I yell as I wrap my arms around him "I missed you so much" I say through my tears

he wraps his arms around me "Mitch? is that you? please be you, I miss you so much and also so this would be super awkward" he chuckled. I nodded

"Yeah skittles its me"

"Well lets head home and catch up, its been a long year." he beamed. he snaked his arm around my shoulders and lead me to his car.

"Yeah it has been a long year" I mumbled to myself

"What did you say mitch??" he asked smiling

"Oh nothing, just about how much I missed you" I lied he can usually tell when im lying but I taught my self to make a lie believable

"Ok, well I missed you to" he smiled at me again

We ran up to my room with loads of junk food and watched movies just like old times. just like I had wished for.
