Chapter 8

“Hold on let me get Alice.” I dropped the phone from my ear and ran to Alice. “Alice, my sister…she’s in trouble.” Her eyes glazed over as she checked the future searching for my sister. “Your sister is at home I don’t see her in any trouble, maybe she’s playing a joke on you or something.” I picked the phone again “Jodell, stop playing jokes” I went to sit on the couch and Alice followed. “Oh, this is no joke” I saw Alice stiffen as she heard the voice, it was Dane.

“I have your sister, Mya. She made it very easy, I grabbed her as she was walking to her car after work.” I pictured my sister getting kidnapped, and all because of me it was my fault. “I want you to meet me at your old dance studio. I’ll know if you brought your boyfriend, and if you do I have no problem with just killing your sister. You cooperate, and you get your sister back. Goodbye.”

The line went dead and I slowly lowered the phone. “Mya he doesn’t have your sister, he’s trying to trick you by luring you in with her, but if we don’t kill him, he’ll continue to hunt you.” Alice explained. She looked to Jasper. “Well I guess we can let Mya and Edward go to the dance studio and the rest of us can stand by incase anything goes wrong.” Jaspers plan sounded good to me.

Now that it was 5:45 I was getting excited, soon I would see Edward. I went to the bedroom in the suite, I should get some rest. As soon as my head hit the pillow I instantly fell asleep.

“Mya, wake up” I rubbed my eyelids. I pulled the covers off and stood up next to Alice. “Oh that won’t do” she said glaring at my outfit. She flashed over to my bag. She handed me jeans and a brown long sleeved sweater. “Here, put this on” I rolled my eyes “Just do it” she urged. I walked to the bathroom. I quickly dressed. I brushed through my tangled hair and then brushed my teeth.

When I came out of the bedroom Alice was sitting all alone. “Where’s Jasper?”

“He’s waiting for us downstairs. Are you ready?” I nodded. Okay I’ll admit I was scared about the whole situation. What happens if this Dane guy hurts me or something? I just needed to take some deep breaths. I slid into the backseat of the Mercedes shutting the door behind me. I watched as the landscape changed to greenery. My eyes traced over the trees like a pencil. I started to scrape the top of my nails with my teeth. I did that whenever I got nervous. We pulled into the airport parking lot. I got out still scraping my finger nails. “Stop that Mya, that noise is terrible” Alice said with a disgusted look on her face.

“You can hear that?”

“Uhh…yea”

“Sorry” I said dropping my hand.

As we sat there waiting for them to arrive I was getting tired even though I had just taken a 3 hour nap. Then there he was staring at me a smile appeared on his face and I ran to him.
