I looked in the mirror twisting and turning looking at every inch of my, body to see if everything i perfect. I step closer to the mirror bring my face right up until its at least a centimetre away to examine my makeup. I think everything is alright with my makeup. I start to pull at my curls, i have done my hair like this a gazillion times, but i want to look perfect. I step back again to re examine myself. I starts to twist and turn again.

"You look perfect you know, stop acting like the first day of school when you were thirteen"

I smile at his reflection in the mirror "you remember that?"

"Yeah how could i forget" he says as he pushes off my door frame. He comes over and drapes his arm over my shounders.

"i donno, i just thought may-" i start to say but he interrupts me

"Mitch i wouldn't forget anything about my bestie. Now its almost time to go. Lets head of." He says grabbing my hand i look at him and stop. He looks at me confused.

"You don't have a tie on, wheres the tie i bought you?"

"Oh umm. Well..... I didn't know how to tie one soooo...." He says rubbing the back of his neck.

"Seriously?" He just nods. I sigh and head out of the room and find the tie on his bed in the spare room. I grab it and pull him closer to me to tie the tie. I pulled the tie around his neck and started to tie it. I tightened it, and pulled my hand away, when Nate grabs my left wrist. I looked up at him. He gave me that look as if saying 'explain now'. I sighed and sat down on the bed.

"Bullies ok. Most them some me, but can we just forget about it. I don't do it anymore i haven't in like 8 months. Can we just go? I wanna have a fun night. I haven't been to a formal since you left. I wanna enjoy it. Have fun" he nodded and grabbed my hand and led me out to the car. He was about to turn on the car when he stopped and grabbed something out of his pocket, it was i small long box. A necklace box.

"Umm. I got you this" he said handing the box to me. It contain a beautiful necklace. It was a key. I looked at Nate and smiled knowing the meaning. Our lock. I have the key.

"I gave you the key, the key to our lock, the key to my heart, the key to my love" he smiles at me. I laugh and smile back and reach over hugging him. I hand him the necklace and he puts it around me neck. Thank god i didn't put a necklace on. I looked down and held the key. I love it already. Never taking it off. I pulled out my phone and looked at how it looked on me. Love it soo much. I love Nate.

*at the school*

Nate parked the car and ran over to open my car door. I nodded and smiled as a thank you. He grabbed my hand and led me to the gym. On the walk there i kept playing with the necklace. I just love it. It truly is amazingly beautiful. We walked through the door. With the music playing loudly. I look at everyone dancing having a good time. I want to be out there dancing, well not dancing like the girls here. My school is just so slutty. The girls grinding against the boys and the boys holding there hips and smiling. Arghh. Disgusting. I turn to Nate and yell over the music

"Ok are we at the right place. Im just confused. Is this a school dance or strip club?"

Whatever their disgusting dancing isn't going to ruin my night with Nate. I pulled Nate over to the food table, but i saw one of the jocks and his slutty girlfriend coming near so i pulled Nate away from the beloved food to the other side of the gym.

"What the hell mitch. Im hungry." He says slumped again the wall

"I'm hungry too ok. Just a jock was coming near. I don't want my night to be ruined ok."

"Fair enough. Well if you don't want to get caught lets blend in and dance" he says pushing off the wall and holding out his hand. I look at him like he is crazy. He looks confused so i nudge my head towards how people are dancing. He realises. Arghh sluts.

"Well we don't have to dance like them"

"Yeah skittles, but then we will stand out, so much for blending in right" i say back sighing. This night sucks already.

"Well lets just do our thing and if they come near i will protect you or we will just move away ok?"

"Ok" i say back smiling. He is just so nice, and caring.

"Thanks skittles" i snuggle my head into his chest. And we continue slow dancing. I close my eyes and get lost in the music.

All of a sudden there is a loud bang. My head shoots up. Im instantly knocked out of my daze. I Arch my neck so i can get a better view. People gasp. What's happening!?! I look at Nate silently asking him. He just shrugs i swing my head back around. I path has cleared. I see the school slut Bethany and the leader jock, Josh stumbling in drunk.

"Mitchey, mitchey??" They say in the most taunting way possible. I look at Nate worried, he is frozen to the spot as am i. They keep coming closer to us. Everyone watching on. Where the hell are teachers to stop this. Probably getting drunk out the back. Nate grabs my shoulder and pushes me behind him. His body completely shielding my small one.

"What do you guys what from her?" He said with anger evident in his voice.

"We just want to talk to your slutty friend here" Josh says back carmly. He takes a glance at Bethany and she giggles. Gosh that giggle is so annoying

"Too bad you aren't getting near her" and with that Nate punches Josh right between the eyes and grabs my and runs towards the exit.

We stop by the car.

"Sorry for ruining the night" i breath out through my heavy breathing. Its hard run in heels, Ok. Don't judge me. Like you could.

"It's all right it was kinda boring anyway. Lets get out off here and go home. Where we can eat food and be in onesies and its actually alright."

I smile and nodd.

Well it might not be the dance, but he is better than anything.

Super sorry i didn't update last week, busy with homework, stupid teachers. Im starting to go to this thing called homework club where people who don't do there homework are forced to go. Im going voluntarily. VOLUNTARILY!!! Just to finish my homework on time i never have time at home, so sorry. I might only update every two weeks, depends on what i have on my plate. Sorry for the inconvenence. Anywho.
