Haneul's Point of View
"Miss Haneul" a knock was heard on the door.
"Come in" I commanded as I button my blazers infront of the huge mirrors in the corner of my spacious room. "What is it, Monica?"
She bowed respectfully first befor speaking. "Your Mr. Hwang wants to talk with you after getting ready"
I fixed my hair and turned to look at Monica's baby face. She's been serving me and my greatgrandfather since I was a toddler. She needs to be rewarded flr being such a loyal worker.
"That's all?" She nodded and I grabbed my shoes and bag before going to my grandfather's office.
I knocked thrice before opening and going inside not after I heard my greatgrandfather's permission to get inside. I bowed as I stood infront of him and gave him a small grin.
"You called for me, harabeoji?" I asked and he chuckled as his small eyes landed on me. "Have you taken your medicine yet?"
He nodded his head and showed me his eyesmile which melted my heart. He was the only family left with me. He took care of me since I was six since my parents were both away from me, completing their missions.
"You look pretty in your school uniform" he showed his two thumbs up and I chuckled at his cuteness. "Remember what I told you, Haneul. Alright?"
"Yes harabeoji" I assured him. "I won't let anyone know about our family"
He nodded and slowly stood up whoch made me ran towards him and help him stand up. He has weak bones since he was already on his seventies. He remove my hands from his shoulders and started walking.
He was about to walk but he lost his balance but I luckily caught him on time. He couldn't walk properly so I told him that he should let me do what he should.
He told me to open his closet and find the wooden box hidden beneathe his pile of clothes. When I already found the wooden box, I walked towards my greatgrandfather and gave the thing to him.
He took a key from his table and opened the box that looks like he treasured the most. He opened the box and pulled out a long silver thing from it. Then he looked at me.
"Come here, Haneul" I obediently made my way beside him and stood properly. "This was your mother's"
His shaky hands reached for my neck and I bent my knees to make ot easier for him to put the necklace on. He sighed after seeing me wearing the necklace.
"Why are you giving this to me?" I asked as I looked through the feature of the necklace.
It was a small piece meteorite inside an orbit-like steel. You can tell it was handmade and one of a kind necklace.
"It was your great grandmother's, passed through generations" I nodded and looked at it again. "You need to take care of that precious thing, like how we took care of ourselves"
I nodded understandingly and thought for a while. It was the necklace he has been telling me when I was still little. The necklace that our family treasures the most.
He looked at the wall clock infront of him and chuckled before looking back at me. "You need to go now"
I bid my goodbye before bowing and walked to the door.
"Take care, Haneul!" he cheerfully waved his hand to me and I did the same, flashing him my smile.
"Always" I closed the door and left the mansion to get to the school on time.
Our butler, Moonbin, opened the cardoor for me as I went inside. I placed my bag beside me and told our driver to move already, but he said that we still need to wait for another people which made me confused.
