Chapter 3
Jane's POV
I don't really know how long I'd been gone but I woke up on my leather sofa with a colorful blanket on me. The first thing is saw when I looked up was Lisbon's closed mouth smile and her hand was touching my cheeks. She was probably checking if I had fever or something. I swung my legs around and sat on the couch next to her, reaching out for my cup of tea she had made me. "So Red John's not dead uh?" she started a conversation, staring on the table where I had put my cup back. "Yeah...well he isn't...." I felt slightly weird...I had such a bad feeling cuz I lied to everyone.... "So, who did you shoot?" "I shot Red John. But not Red John himself, only Red John the killer. McAllister was the killer behind the smile but not Red John. Red John never killed anybody, he was just the emotionless killer machine controlling his people. And McAllister was the main killer of his." "And how do you know?" She asked. "Well that's another funny story..." "I've got time." Lisbon sounded really serious about this. So I decided not to be sarcastic or anything cuz I didn't want to upset her. "Well, after I killed "Red John"" imitating these quotation marks with my fingers, "I headed up to Mexico." "-yeah how could I forget that..." She
interrupted me. "Sorry for that again....umm...well when I was in Mexico I was looking for Red John. Not because I wanted to kill him. Because I wanted to talk to him. Yeah...I actually just wanted to talk because I knew he might have been the one who made McAllister kill my family but he hasn't been the one who actually killed them." I could see the sudden pain running through Teresa's eyes when I said "family". I knew how she felt about us being together. She still thinks I'm not over Angela (which i'm not) and she doesn't want to replace her. "Did-did you find him?" "I did and i talked to him.I couldn't see his face though, but I got some pretty interesting information." I could hear her staring but I didn't turn around because I knew she would stop staring and I kinda enjoyed feeling her eyes on my neck or wherever. "So-why is he back." "Well that's the thing I don't know." I turned around and even before she could, I held her chin in my direction, slowly leaned forward and kissed her soft lips.
"Ehhhh Boss?" Grace interrupted and i thought Lisbon would jump up and act like I just cut her ponytail or something. But the exact opposite happened. She didn't even care about Van Pelt standing in the doorway. She just kissed me back and it was a magical moment. I couldn't see her, but I knew Van Pelt had turned around and "escaped". When she pulled back, I was still in shock "Wo-wow...what was that for?" I asked slightly confused. "Well, that was the thing I've wanted to do in 6 years." She grinned at me and I grinned back. I squished her hand and then we both stood up. "We really need to talk to Van pelt now." "For sure." I said grinning at her.
Lisbon's POV
As nice that moment felt, I felt slightly embarrassed because of Van Pelt. That was so unprofessional. What should we even tell her? I expected a response from Jane but then I noticed I didn't even asked the question out loud. Stupid me. "What should we even tell her?" I repeated myself still staring on the floor. "Well, the truth, Teresa. I'm sick of lying. I lied more in 6 years than normal people in their entire lives. And if it's not necessary, I'll avoid lying again!" "Fine...you'll explain it to her."
15 minutes later
"What did she say?" I asked excited. "Well .. It might have been the most awkward Situation in my entire life..." Jane really looked embarrassed. "But after that 5 minutes of staring, the only thing she said was "I know that would happen" and then she left the room with a big smile." "Seriously??"
"Yep"
I leaned toward him and kissed him.
"After all, we need to work on the Red John Case."
"Yeah we do" i agreed and we left the hallway.
I'm sorry this took so long!! I had finished it but i didn't feel like publishing it cuz i thought i wasn't done with this chapter...anyways, ENJOY, COMMENT AND VOTE
