#8 : The Last Hero

Crow

We now entered the building, looking around before taking the stairs to the 4th floor. We faced some zombies in the way but managed to get rid of them. This made us believe that they might have encountered Suzy. We just hoped she managed to survive in her room.

The silence in the hallway was terrifying. There was absolutely no one in the building. Only the few zombies we killed.

Reaching her door. It wasn't totally closed. We got scared. Is she inside ?

- No, she's not here. says Wolf.

- Oh no.. where the hell would she be ? says Crow worried.

- Guys, I think she moved away maybe because she found a better place. says Kio.

- Or maybe she turnt into a zombie and moved away to find someone to eat. says Wolf.

- Don't be so negative. I don't think that's the case. says Crow.

- Look around, the room is empty. I think she took her stuffs and moved away. says Kio.

- Yeah, let's keep the hope she's still alive. says Crow.

- And guys, I think this building is a very good place to stay because zombies would have it hard to come up the stairs. We should maybe call the others. says Wolf.

- Network does not work. Let's go bring them. says Kio.

- I was thinking the same. But let's go. says Crow.

We took our vehicle and moved. Kio was driving. He slowed down at 100 meters away from Frank's place when he saw cars from far away.

- Guys, hide behind this wall. says Kio.

- Who are they ? asks Wolf.

- Those cars look like the one Bryce's group has. That's probably them. says Kio.

- So why did they come here ? wait.. is it because of me ? asks Crow.

- Yeah, I'm sure they're after you. There could be no other reason. says Kio.

- Bryce might be mad at me 'cuz I killed the members of his crew.. I can understand him though. says Crow.

Suddenly, Kio sees Keith bringing Shiba tied up near the vehicle.

- Crow, stay calm, they tied up Shiba. says Kio.

- Ugh..

- Don't worry, I'm sure they won't hurt her. But they surely tied up the others as well..hm. wonders Kio.

- We're pretty fcked up, here.. damn it. says Crow.

- So there is one guy inside the car sitting on the driving seat, another is standing behind the car near Shiba and the last one is sitting on the back side of the truck. says Kio.

- And Bryce is missing. says Crow after checking as well.

- So they're 4, hm.. I wonder where Bryce is hiding. says Wolf.

- So here's the plan, I'll shoot the guy standing near Shiba, but before I do so we're gonna split up, Crow, you go around and try to get in the house quitely from behind and Wolf, you go from my left and shoot on them with your uzi and be their attention so I could shoot the guy in the backside of the truck and then we hide again until Bryce shows up. says Kio.

- Okay ! say Crow and Wolf.

Wolf runs at his left side and shoots at the guy in the car who shoots as well and Wolf hides behind a bush. 

- Shit ! I didn't think first that I could also shoot at Shiba by mistake. But it's okay though 'cuz Kio just killed the guy near Shiba. thinks Wolf.

Diego who is inside the truck drives the truck and heads in Wolf's direction at full speed.

- Wolf !! Get outta there !! shouts Kio.

Wolf runs away and manages to dodge the truck charging on him. Yuvinho gets down the truck and beats Wolf up. Diego also gets out and aims his gun at Kio.

- I suggest you to tell us where Crow is hiding boy, or we kill you, we're already killed your friends so killing you and that betrayer Kio wouldn't be any difficult. 

- Shiba ! are you okay ? asks Crow taking off Shiba's bandage on her mouth.

- Huh.. yes.. Crow, you should run away or Bryce will kill you. she says.

- You think I'm affraid ? I am going to kill him for what he've done here.

Crow gets into the garage where Frank's team were staying. He goes around but nobody's inside. He gets outside and sees Bryce aiming his weapons at him.

 Crow

- You better follow us with kindness, my little boy. Or I kill your remaining friends in front of your eyes and you wouldn't be able to do anything to save 'em. says Bryce.

Bryce calls out Simon, the little boy who is sobbing.

- Crow.. snif.. my grandpa is.. snif..

- Why did you.. ugh, you didn't have to do this !! yells Crow.

- You had to think about this before killing my companions. says Bryce.

- Your fcking companions were jerks ! is he the only one you left alive ?

- Yes. I thought he's just a young boy who still has a lot to live. says Bryce.

Bryce unhands Simon who comes quickly towards me to hug me. I saw on his face a certain happiness by meeting me again. I smiled to him too. So that's what it is to have a little brother. If I'd have one.

BANG!

The bullet entering his chest from behind left tears in my eyes. He arrived to me and fell into my arms.

- Bryce, you son of a..

I suddenly fainted then.
